USA News and Poland - Part 2

Would be a bit harsh on the hundreds of thousands of unemployed and disabled veterans who are on welfare as a result of fighting to preserve their freedoms.

Or on people born with disability

Or on people who work 35 years in a Kodak factory making camera film but go on welfare once digital cameras are invented

Still -in Russia nobody has a meaningful vote so no surprise you have such basic ideas

Rich Mazur

Nobody has a meaningful vote in the US, either. The same corrupt cesspool of cronies will rule the country no matter who farts in Congress or the White House. That is why I don't vote and I do meet all of the requirements I listed earlier.

No, receiving Social Security benefits is not welfare, so don't go there.

If there was a barnyard election the pigs would vote for the person who fed them EVEN THOUGH he is the same person that is going to slaughter them someday.

Only in America.........General Motor workers are out on the picket lines today on strike.
Capitalism at it's best.
Mary Bara, President of GM made $20 MILLION DOLLARS last year !
That is just flat out sinful.
Not to mention.... recent announcements from GM about closing plants in the U.S.A. & moving that process to CHINA !
Wait a New York minute here........"WHO" was it that 'bailed out' GM 8 or 9 years ago ? CHINA ? ? ? ?
NO ! It was the U.S. TAXPAYERS that did that !
That is the thanks we get for helping out corporate America.
I may have to vote Democrat this next election.

If you think he may well have taken $40 MILLION, it would not seem so sinful as it seems

though unfortunately the mess they make there does not seem to discourage too many left-leaning voters elsewhere.

That must be all the zugewanderten Hippies! :)

Since a coalition with the AfD is utterly impossible (both for moral and pragmatic reasons),

...it's coming! It's only a matter of time...mark my words!

PS: Just read that:

"Grönemeyer bekannte sich im Spiegel zu seinen linksextremistischen Wurzeln: "Wir hatten die K-Gruppen, die Friedensbewegung, wir haben in Wackersdorf gespielt, da kommen wir her." "

K-Gruppen waren die Freunde von Stalin, Mao und Pol Pot...

Seriously?

de.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Gruppe

They were fans of the GDR too...And that's what Maas (and surely Steinmeier too) supports?

Not my president (nor foreign minister), nor singer....sorry!

I may have to vote Democrat this next election.

This will not help any. Same crap, different color.

Here is an idea from a genius - me. All corporate and federal jobs, from the CEO down to the last veepee, should be open for bidding by the per-qualified applicants. The person willing to do it for the lowest salary (no golden parachutes!!!!) gets the job. That simple.

With that process in place, she would see those 20 million bucks only when asleep or on drugs.

Did I mention I am a genius?

17 Sep 2019  #1029

I wonder how many corporation you would have left after few years.

Rich Mazur
17 Sep 2019  #1030

Many. There was a time when the CEO's were making a lot less compared to their employees, and we were fine.
The reason why today the corporations pay the insane salaries is the safety net held under these idiots by the US taxpayers. Too big, too fail, goes the crony capitalism favorite line. Remove that safety net and those salaries would disappear like the fog when the sun comes out.

Now, the corrupt pile of crony crap goes by two rules: (1) plunder while plundering is good, and (2) profits are private, losses belong to the taxpayers.

Companies don't like it when governments meddle with their affairs and set too many rules. And I don't get why it would be of interest to the government how much their CEO earns (companies aided by the government not included)

Companies don't like it when governments meddle with their affairs and set too many rules.

...until they need bailout money from that government. Then, they love government.

And I don't get why it would be of interest to the government how much their CEO earns

But it is of interest to the government how much the employees are paid?
If they can set the minimum, they have the authority to set the maximum. How do I know that? Easy. The fed froze the price of beef at some point. They control rents. Same thing.

You know women get paid less then men Rich so it's inevitable that all the CEO's would eventually be women.
Cheapest isn't always the smartest.

Rich Mazur
17 Sep 2019  #1034

CEO's are grossly overrated. They come from the same cesspool of MBA's, Ph.D's, and other wizards who managed to wreck this country anyway - something Mongolian peasants wouldn't do. Being educated and smart are two different things. Here is one example:

Vigilantes in Slovenia patrol borders to keep out migrants

That's the title. Down below:

Miha Kovac, a Slovenian political analyst who is a professor at the University of Ljubljana, described the anti-migrant guards as "guys with big beer bellies who don't have much of an education, who didn't have much of a career, who don't know what to do with themselves in the contemporary world.

"They find their meaning in this kind of movement and this kind of hatred toward migrants."

That was a quote from a moron with Ph.D. who finds the guys "with beer bellies" repulsive because they want to protect their country.

Same when President Kennedy tried to help some third world "uneducated" country increase their revenue that grew rubber for the U.S.A.
Kennedy explained to them if they worked harder and grew twice as much rubber that they would have twice as much revenue.
The "uneducated' country replied that they have decided to work half as much and grow half as much rubber for the U.S.A and double their price.

From dailymail.com:

Ilhan Omar wants Twitter to shut down Donald Trump's account and demands to know 'why he's not deplatformed' after he shared conspiracy theorist's false claim that she 'partied' on 9/11 anniversary

Hey, bi*tch, he is the president and you are nothing but a foreign pos who would so much more at home in the USSR or Hitler's Germany than in the US where we have all kids of laws to protect us from the fascists like you.

A Baltimore restaurant came out with a new dress code to enter.
Among the items that are "strictly prohibited" are excessively baggy clothing ("pants must be worn at the waist, no shorts below the knee"), athletic attire, sports jerseys except on days when one of two Baltimore teams is playing, work and construction boots, brimless headgear (bandanas, beanies, etc., backwards or sideways hats must be worn forward.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to put up a sign that said, "No Blacks Allowed".

You read that all wrong cms.
My response was in favor of the Blacks as the restaurant was obviously targeting Blacks by being Politically Correct.
That's why I said, the restaurant may as well came right out and said that Blacks aren't welcome.

Welcome to America!

All corporate and federal jobs, from the CEO down to the last veepee, should be open for bidding by the per-qualified applicants.

They do for publicly traded
corporations. The board of directors decides that.

Want me to start in how Poland is thirty years behind times

No way. Infrastructure is garbage in the usa, theres no high speed trains, healthcare is terrible, even high tech consumer goods are available in europe before the usa. In poland you can even get KFC delivered to you. Culture and innovations esp in the public space the us is far behind. Home building technologies were ubiquitous in poland before they even arrived as niche items in the usa. Or take cars even poland used lpg to run engines and now the us just started doing that on buses and garbage trucks but not in cars.

Yes maybe the usa produces things like iphones and in that sense us is ahead, but the culture, things that the public uses like transportation, medicine, etc is way ahead in poland. Just depends what you specifically look at.

johnny reb
20 Sep 2019  #1045

And then once outside the city limits of Warsaw it all changes starting with that putrid smell of coal burning.

in the usa, theres no high speed trains

I can think of at least six of them starting with Amtrak.

healthcare is terrible

LOL.....compared to Poland's.........get real.
How long do you have to wait for an elective surgery in Poland ?

you can even get KFC delivered to you.

WoW.....light years ahead of the U.S.A.
I was thinking more of pollution to the environment.
Two winters ago I drove from the Canadian border in Michigan 2000 miles directly south to Key west Florida and the roads were as smooth as a school moms leg all the way.

but the culture, things that the public uses like transportation, medicine, etc is way ahead in poland.

As far as public transportation......everyone in the U.S.A. can afford two cars (Poland will catch up in 30 years or so) so there is not as much need for public transportation and what medicine does Poland have that I need that I can't get right here in the U.S.A. ?

There are multi modern cultural centers plus Federal Parks, National Parks, State Parks, County Parks, from one end of the U.S. to the other Dirk.

They don't even have toilet paper in the train stations in Poland yet.

ith that putrid smell of coal burning.

Its not a fun place to be around in the winter. Im glad that are banning coal burning, its really disgusting. Send AOC over there and her dizzy head would fly off! lol

They don't even have toilet paper in the train stations in Poland yet.

You will have to pay some old hag 50 groszy if they do have one.

I seen plenty of outdated things in PL

How much do you want to bet that Canadian PM Justin Trudeau gets away with a free pass for wearing black face?

cbsnews.com/news/justin-trudeau-brownface-photos-prime-minister-canada-apologizes-blackface-controversy-today-2019-09-19

If photos of Trump emerged of him singing "mammy" in blackface the pitchforks and torches would be coming!

Lets see how the two-tiered system plays out this time. lol

Justin Trudeau gets away with a free pass for wearing black face

He will get away with it because leftists circle the wagons and attack anyone who would attack them. This is called balls.
Republicans are weak weasels and join the leftists in attacking their own. That is why I find conservatives and the RINO's disgusting for being righteous losers.

Seems there might be more important issues to work on instead of Political Correctness.
For example, last month, 53 Americans died in mass shootings while 40,000 died from obesity.
Instead of focusing on what someone wore to a Halloween party back in 2001, how about America's health issues.
They want to confiscate our guns but allow the soft drink companies to pump out billions of gallons of sugar water to addict Americans to.

Americans amp out over someone putting shoe polish on their face for a dress up Halloween party.....have kids that eat Tide Pods,....adults that don't know what gender they are........40,000 people a day dying from obesity......

Trust me, guns are not the problem in America.

TheOther

40,000 people a day dying from obesity

That would wipe out the current American population within approx. 22 years. It's 40,000 a year.
