You call fifteen to twenty million a small number ?
11 million more like it. That's 3% of the total US population, and the majority of illegal immigrants are not Mexicans anymore. Actually, their numbers have been declining since 2011. And while we are playing the blame game: out of the entire workforce in the United States, 8 million were illegal immigrants. What does that tell you?

Do you know who actually owns California's lands? Almost half of it is federally owned, only 4% is state owned. The federal government is still spending more money on fire suppression than on prescribed burns, and according to the National Interagency Fire Center the Forest Service has only performed prescribed burns on 11.3 percent of the land they manage. So: even though a lot of mistakes were made in the past, most of the blame has to go to the Feds.
