USA News and Poland - Part 3

On the other side I read somewhere that Floyd was a drug user and could have died because of resulting heart failure...

I haven't heard it, but then again I haven't been following it closely. These always devolve into the same narrative: cops are racists who only kill black males, whites who don't think only blacks are killed or mistreated by police are racists, America is nothing but one big institution of racism. It's baloney.

But, whether or not Floyd was a drug user is immaterial. The cop applied direct body pressure to Floyd's neck after Floyd was cuffed and not resisting for a long period of time. Most of the time these incidents happen, the cop is justified in the use of force. This time, we got enough facts (8 mins of video), and I do not see how the cop is justified. His arrest and charge are justified.

I've heard that American police are very poorly trained compared to U.K. police,

Not true. Most American police are well trained and undergo constant training throughout their careers. The cop acting badly isn't due to training, it's because the cop was bad (at least, to some degree).

I know way too many cops, and what's interesting is how many of them b1tch mostly about the same handful of co-workers. They want the problem cops gone--but, the labor laws don't make it easy to get rid of them.

Most American police are well trained

Generally far less so than ours.

but, the labor laws don't make it easy to get rid of them.

Nor it seems does the complaints and disciplinary system.

If they don't address that, people are going to keep reaching breaking point. The riots etc aren't going to get any better with time.

Im sure that makes you very happy, but it aint going to happen:) Trump is going to put an end to your left wing loonies such as ANTIFA ( soon to be declared a terrorist network)Send them all back to Europe where they belong!

Not true. Most American police are well trained

Of course, its not true. You have to expect the constant degrading towards the USA as Mr.homo tries to make himself look important.

But, whether or not Floyd was a drug user is immateria

He sure didn't need to be executed because of it. The Cops are guilty and will receive their just desserts. Meanwhile, the unhinged Soros lefties will try to destroy more neighborhoods and lives before Trump winds up putting his foot up their ass.

Remember how Obama did nothing during riots? He actually promoted violence against cops, worst Prez in history!

but it aint going to happen

I wouldn't be so sure; it's certainly happening now, empty Twitter threats about vicious dogs or not.

And Trumpet's role after December is far from safe.

empty Twitter threats about vicious dogs or not.

Its seems like you are getting some really bad info, better stop watching CNN ( almost got burnt to the ground in Atlanta, too bad!)
Not like its of any concern to a brit expat living in Poland without anything to do except troll PF around the clock.

And Trumpet's role after December is far from safe.

Here we go again! How about Stormy Daniels? When you made a total fool out of yourself bragging about that hoax. How much money did she have to pay for Trumps attorney fees?

Better yet, tell us again about all the Russian Collusion that was going to be the end of him???

What a sucker believing everything you read from fake msm.

It might serve you well to stay out of our affairs and leave the decision making to the ppl that can actually Vote.

jon357

CNN

We don't watch it here.

hoax

No hoax.

For Trumpet, it all depends on whether he can squeeze through again by losing the popular vote and getting a tiny majority from the electoral college.

And that, of course, looks far less likely day by day.

squeeze through again by losing the popular vote and getting a tiny majority from the electoral college

Wow, Im surprised how transfixed you are about American and what were doing all the time. Youre totally sad. Dont you Euros have lives of your own? Perhaps you should buy a dog if your BF won't give you such attention.

And that, of course, looks far less likely day by day.

We've been hearing your diatribe about Trump since 2015 and NOT ONE THING you mentioned has ever came to fruition.... LOLOL And that a fact!

jon357
30 May 2020  #518

transfixed

Or just watching the main item on the news. Things are pretty quiet at the moment here. No race riots, fortunately...

Trump

If Trumpet and his followers consider him to be the leader of the free world (which he isn't of course) then people in the free world are going to have an opinion. And most of those opinions are negative.

As for no prediction coming true, you've conveniently forgotten that the election hasn't happened yet. And Trumpet can't stop it happening, no mare how much he'd like to.

Youre a mindreader now as well. Tell us when Biden is going to come out of his bunker and answer some questions then? There are many that need to be answered, but that's ok, The Senate will be holding their investigations very soon. He's might not even be the candidate by August.lol

jon357
31 May 2020  #520

Youre a mindreader now as well.

The various political analysts and commentators do it nicely enough without being what you call 'mindreaders'.

And meanwhile, the likelihood of Trumpet repeating his fluke in the swing states diminishes daily.

AntV
31 May 2020  #521

Generally far less so than ours.

That might be true, but that doesn't mean they are not well-trained.

jon357

Three officers standing around while one knelt on someone's neck suggests otherwise unfortunately.

The various political analysts and commentators do it nicely enough without being what you call 'mindreaders'.

Well, I wouldn't say they do it nicely. They are often wrong. Some are more wrong, some less wrong.

Care to make a wager? You've been wrong about everything else:)

Three officers standing around while one knelt on someone's neck suggests otherwise

And that makes every cop in America the same, just like all homos have AIDS, right?

Jon, I never realized how bigoted you really are, thanks for clarifying!

jon357
31 May 2020  #525

And that makes every cop in America the same

Evidently it makes enough of them the same. Things like this keep on happening.

Let's hope all the African Americans register to vote.

AntV

Three officers standing around while one knelt on someone's neck suggests otherwise unfortunately.

So, one officer's actions is representative of all others?

It would seem like you are suggesting that UK officers never cross the line because of their better training.

You can train all day long from here until eternity, and you will never be certain that a trained individual will properly follow the training he received. Training cannot magically make free will disappear, it can only hope to condition it to respond accordingly.

jon357
31 May 2020  #527

So, one officer's actions is representative of all others?

Yes, insomuch as grievous incidents like this and how they're dealt with are part of the public face of the whole police. I doubt George Floyd was much concerned with the actions of any other 'officer'. Just the one that killed him was enough for him. A guy who had 18 complaints, some for brutality, yet had not had any disciplinary action.

And of course this isn't just "one officer", is it? It's very very far from being an isolated incident. It's a regular occurrence.

It would seem like you are suggesting that UK officers never cross the line

"It would seem like" that only if you misread the post, deliberately or otherwise.

Joker
31 May 2020  #528

Let's hope all the African Americans register to vote.

Yes, Indeed! Most of them can't stand Biden either!

t. It's a regular occurrence.

Could have fooled me, and I live here! When do you get such bad info in Poland?

jon357
31 May 2020  #529

Most of them can't stand

It's the lesser of two evils.

Whichever way it goes, this year's vote will be interesting.

Joker
31 May 2020  #530

this year's vote will be interesting.

why????

What concern is it to you? Its up to us to decide for whom we vote for not some bitter limeys! Go to sleep already fool!

We all enjoy a good bit of entertainment from afar.

Joker

Ill have to remember that the next time "The Tube" gets blown up or when your muzzles going on another stabbing spree in London.

Its good entertainment, thats all:)

an isolated incident. It's a regular occurrence.

Doesnt happen as frequently compared to the UK.. Is this why you expatiated yourself?

List of cases of police brutality in the United Kingdom

1998: Christopher Alder died at the Queen's Gardens police station from Asphyxiation. He was arrested for breach of the peace at Hull Royal Infirmary. Footage of Christopher, lying handcuffed and half-naked on the floor of a police cell, surrounded by five officers making monkey noises is available online

2009 G-20 London summit protests included the technique of kettling. A bystander, Ian Tomlinson, died shortly after being pushed.........

1999: Harry Stanley was shot dead by Metropolitan Police, thinking he was armed, although he was found to be carrying only a table leg

Shall I continue? I have dozens of more examples of police brutality from the UK. I never knew how uncivilized your brand of justice was....

jon357
31 May 2020  #533

Your elections certainly are fun to watch. This year's will be especially good.

Joker

You have been wrong every single time! LOL

Ours have bigger peckers than yours do though jon.

I remember you saying how Trump didn't have a chance against Crooked Hillary too.
You could be interpreted of being full of a lot of hot air and wishful thinking jon.

I see Trump now wants to send the army in - presumably gun nuts would agree that the protesters have a right to use their own guns in self defense ? One of the reasons for the gun bits of the constituion is to protect yourself against your own government isn't it ?

I'm not sure what is happening over there but Trump seems to be losing control - he has no respect from the governors or the law enforcement agencies.

Mind you he seems to have gone a few days without blaming this on Obama or Hillary so that is one positive thing.
