@Ironside, I wasn't singing a different tune - I wasn't even commenting here. I don't mind demonstrations - they are an element of democracy. I do mind riots, but what's going on right now in the US is worse than riots. Taking over a government building is far more serious than some riots in the street.

Will Biden be able to "heal" the country? I personally doubt that...

One thing that I notice: Trump incited the crowd to go there and seize control, but then when they needed his presence, he went missing. He backed down in the heat of the moment, but not after doing considerable harm.

Even a Republican congressman called him a coward. It's exactly what it is - if he genuinely believed that he had been cheated, then he should have gone there to be in the middle of the action. Instead, all we're seeing is a giant orange coward who backed down after weeks of screaming like a hyena.

Pence on the other hand has behaved with dignity, and I think we can all respect that.

If he addresses another violent rally before 20 Jan or tries to use their military in other countries, it's very possible that VP Pence and Speaker Pelosi will invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office.
