USA News and Poland - Part 4

and we need to all wake up to the threat.

Yes, a lot of it is incredibly clever as well. They come in with very cheap loans and generous repayment terms, offering to build critical infrastructure as long as their companies are involved. Once the infrastructure is built, they've got a stranglehold on the local economy through very long term concession. I think Sri Lanka has done this with their ports?

A brilliant example is the motorway they're building in Montenegro now. Montenegro is essentially now in the position that if the motorway doesn't pay for itself, then they're going to end up having to mortgage some of their most important assets just to pay the bills.

IMO, the Americans need to use their economic power to start doing exactly the same. It's not too late, and your average third world dictator will be delighted to play off the superpowers against each other. Even in Europe, there's a lot of infrastructure that could be built by the Americans in that way - for instance, a tolled Kraków-Banská Bystrica-Budapest highway would really help this part of the world.

Leaving Serbia and Montenegro to the Chinese was an awful mistake on the part of the US and Russia.

I hope they don`t ruin States. Interesting country"

they actually say some good stuff at the end like how they describe the jail vs street politics and how everyone politics on everyone or trips out st everyone in jail for the smallest thing. Anyone know if its also like that in Poland? Like are people so bored they make problems or look for problems? Like how he described a guy will trip and be like "youre all in my space" when you have no space there or of your own? or someone will trip and say you smell bad or something despite them giving you old clothes. imagine living this way guys...

or they would have to go out of NATO what local Serbs wholeheartedly desire anyway.

But no problem for Crna Gora in the long run. It will this way or another re-merge with Serbia and then bills would be paid.

China can brazenly bribe them. America can't so easily do that nowadays due to oversight etc. They have to be more ethical which China doesn't.

Did you hear about the woman there who superglued her hair to her head?

Systems developed in the States, Canada, on the west of Europe, etc actually proving to be ONLY more hypocritical, not more efficient. Restrictions in society are just well covered, while the Chinese traditionally used to them and don't hide them. That is the reason why States and the EU losing the race. A lot of is founded on lies. I hope the Slavic world finds a middle way between these two extremes.

That last incoherent post #1897 makes no senses at all, complete gibberish! Its nothing more than an idiot rambling, it boggles the mind how its tolerated around here.

For me, it is just constatation of pure fact. In China you know what is prohibited. In US you have to try to abide written laws while avoid conflict with various groups that may start to bully you for a wrong word or ruin your business/career for some BS.

1st Amendment SUDDENLY does not cover private media that can wrap the facts as they would prefer, and nobody seems to be able to stop this. POTUS is BANNED from Twitter, and nobody is surprised. Land of the free, you said?

POTUS is BANNED from Twitter, and nobody is surprised.

Nobody is surprised, and he's the former POSUS.

Twitter is a private company, and there are alternatives that trumpet is still able to use, like Stormfront and Sympatia.pl

Twitter is a private company

You are the eternal liar.

Nearly 75% of all Twitter stock is owned not by individuals but by institutional investors who buy large stakes in companies for their clients.

Isn't it funny how these people think that it should be their right to post on an internet website?

Break the rules, you go bye bye, just like any other private club.

Back on topic guys, before this thread gets closed.
Wait, that is what the Stooges are *trying* to do.
You've been told not to do that in Our thread.

cheap labor at his businesses. And not just, like, in years past, or in the first few months of his presidency, but today.

Is Trump still employing illegal Polish workers in his businesses like he was in the past? Isn't it somewhat hypocritical of the American Right to turn a blind eye to businesses employing illegal immigrants while ranting about them in public?

If he is, it will doubtless come out sooner or later. If he's not, he needn't worry (about that, anyway).

He hasn't been having a great day today at all.

Forget it delph, your qualifications are sub standard for any job in the U.S.
I mean seriously, what could you possibly do here for employment ?
And once they saw you were fired for sending filthy post on this forum.......ha...haha....hahahahaha.....good luck.

He gets away with murder so Im not going to follow the rules anymore as well.

The difference is Joker, us Americans get suspensions like Rich. Dirk, Cargo, you, me yet the Stooges seldom even get a warning.

Seems like all the work in improving U.S.A-Poland relations have been perceived by Biden as Trump support solely. 100 days have gone and Prezydent Duda hasn't received a phone call from Biden. Poland simply isn't on the list of priorities for U.S.A at this stage. Which saddens me personally too as it has possibly effects on my future work.

The article concludes that with the canceling of troop replacements (from Germany to other NATO countries... guess where the 50% ish were supposed to go), could easily show that there is no reason to wait for any communication with the new administration from the U.S.A at this point. And that nuclear plant building are now going to be discussed with the French instead. As it has been seen as reserved for the U.S.A in the past

Here is a link to where I read it:

Well Polish politicians did everything to give that impression.

You must be proud to have such honest politicians in Poland.

Mr Grunwald
12 Feb 2021  #1913

@Lenka
That was obviously directed towards Trump and his closest supporters, if Biden's camp were unable to pick that up. Then... Yeah... The alliance wouldn't and now won't hold any value for the next 20 years for sure and probably 50. I have a much harsher Hawk stance then PiS, as I perceive them to be somewhat in the middle and PO and others close to their camp more like Dove stance.

So Poland's list of allies grow thinner by the day, U.S.A having this two sided polarized coin flipping won't work. U.K leaving the EU and showing basically only her own interests. So what are the choices left? A docile France that tries to emulate her past colonial prestige to the dismay of African states, a Spain with inner turmoil and minor foreign affairs impact, Germany as a wildcard going from one project to another sometimes opposite of what she did before in terms of international goals. A very good trade partner at best. Turkey reaching the same conclusions and focuses on Middle East and her internal conflicts with as Luke-warm relations with Russia they can allow themselves in to.

Lithuania/Belarus/Ukraine only offer a deeper conflict with Russia.

Sweden being ideologically neutral could potentially offer military equipment etc cause of their industry, but at the cost of closer relations and that is a can of worms that PiS won't touch ever.

Finland can't afford closer ties with Poland cause of their unspoken neutrality agreement with Russia...

China with her communist party isn't something to look forward to either and Japan potentially only could bring conflict with China and minor impact on Russia...

And Italy isn't even worth mentioning with her political circus

@johnny_reb
They do their work, and people know what to expect from them. Test after test after test you know, journalists ain't giving them breathing space

A docile France that tries to emulate her past colonial prestige to the dismay of African states

This is true, however they're fast losing ground to China economically, and some of the Francophone countries in Africa are officially switching to English as their lingua franca.

Trump support solely.

Refusing to congratulate the President after the election sent a very clear diplomatic message.

Mr Grunwald
12 Feb 2021  #1917

@jon357
Paranoia is part of the PiS electorate, just as it is for the Republican Party... Biden showing he isn't able to be more mature about it or show class (Poland isn't as powerful as China or any current great powers to make any such moves)

So if Biden only seeks strong states and expects vassal relations then he isn't any different then Chinese or Russian leadership...

jon357
12 Feb 2021  #1918

So if Biden only seeks strong states and expects vassal relations

I don't think the does (aside from the traditional American foreign policy of so doing).

Poland is in NATO so the two countries are certainly allies (despite Trumpet's casual relationship with NATO) however Russia is quiet at the moment and Hungary/Poland are behaving badly.

Lenka
12 Feb 2021  #1919

Biden showing he isn't able to be more mature about it or show class

It was Polish president who didn't show class first. Sadly our politicians played silly going personal. You can't base your alliances based on who is in the office atm. Of course personal preference will be there and it's easier to negotiate with someone with similar views but it shouldn't be a reason to alienate the new president. Poor diplomacy.

Mr Grunwald
12 Feb 2021  #1920

@jon357
You seem to be under the illusion that any state can dictate Poland anything, which is quite frankly wrong.

Poland learned her lesson in 1700's and won't ever again trust any dictate from any foreign state. If somebody is under the illusion that Poland has been dictated by Nazi Germany, Soviet Union or U.S.A. It's cause Poland have let them think it, just cause somebody thinks it doesn't make it true.

So if you start talking about PRL etc, let me tell you it wasn't Poland. That was a Soviet contraption created by Stalin to emulate a legal government which western powers and the world accepted cause of the fear of the red army. It wasn't until 1989 that the PRL state started to resemble Poland, and people still went on either blissfully ignorant of the whole thing or acting as if nothing happened.

So yeah, there you have it

@Lenka
Expecting good diplomacy from PiS? :)
Please, don't delusional
