My letter would have read;
Dear Mammy & ?.
Being a slave here on a plantation is much much better than where I came from.
The slaves that really suffered are the Irish and Chinese that helped build the great railroad and were treated like animals and not paid enough to even buy their food.
Us Black peoples food and shelter was paid for by our owners.
Today however I only see the Black folks crying for reparations and think we are actually owed something for nothing we personally suffered from.
The Irish and Chinese are not demanding anything from the government welfare programs, no special rights, burning down buildings in protest, and being incarcerated for drug crimes and killing each other like non other.
The Irish and Chinese slaves learned to assimilate into society as productive members of society and ask nothing for what happened a 150 years ago to their ancestors.
For some unknown reason though we are being taught in school that being Black makes you 'special' and a candidate to be treated differently than main stream society.
All us Blacks have to do is scream "RACIST" and we immediately become the victim.
Since there is no longer free transportation to the U.S.A. it looks like you will have to invade Europe to make the same demands to get your 'Windfall' in life.
Living Large, your son Willy Washington.
