A cop won't even help you if you're bleeding to death, he'll wait around till the paramedics get there since it's not his job and that's what they're told to do. They are there to harass people and bring in money for their department to pay their overtime. Whenever a cop gets to the scene of a horrible car accident they're happy because it means overtime for the court case when they're subpoenaed.

A cop can seize your car and all your property because you have a grand or two in your pocket and you are totally SOL. You have to then prove that you obtained that money legally to get your car and money back. A lot of people just say **** it because it'll cost them more to get a lawyer than whatever the cops stole.

People call the police to help with a loved one who's having a nervous breakdown or someone who hasn't taken their psych meds and what happens? They end up dead, cop get fired from the department, cop gets rehired next district over.

I hate those *******. The days of "Officer Friendly" are long gone. Now it's officer with military gear pointing ar-15's at your chest while they use obscure civil forfeiture laws to seize all your ****.

Don't ever call the cops if you or a loved on are in need - especially if it's a domestic situation like an argument or whatever. If you're lucky you'll just get arrested and slapped with thousands in fines and court costs, if you get a particularly bully cop then someone is going to get shot by him.

It is possible that between my charming personality and the white privilege, life has been strangely kind to me. It is also possible that I didn't act like an as*hole and was always respectful to the cops - even when pulled over. On many occasions, I would walk up to a squad car, tell him that I am glad he is here, and ask how his life is. Never saw a Glock or an AR-15 from the wrong end of it. Amazing how it works.

In the last 12 months, I was approached by cops twice. The first thing I asked was: Did I break any laws? No. Am I under arrest? No. Am I free to go? Just a moment. That meant I was under detention. Fine with me.

My next step: would you like to see my ID? Yes, please. I gave them two: my DL and my CC license to show that I am not a bum with a record.

In both cases, I was on my way in less than three minutes. No "how dare you", "none of your damn business", "do you know the Constitution", etc...

Only morons do that...or those who deliberately want a confrontation and, later, a payout for "police abuse".
I remember going 87 in 70 on I-57. No belts and no front license plate, either. A trifecta. Oh, fu*ck. Where are you going and where have you been? I told him and got a warning for the plate.
