Members of the Ohio House on Wednesday approved a bill that would allow Ohioans to conceal carry without a concealed carry permit.
House Bill 227 passed with a 60-32 vote and will now head to the Senate.
The bill would render sheriff-issued "concealed handgun licenses" meaningless within Ohio state lines and would allow any gun owner age 21 and older to carry concealed, without any license, and also modify the law's definition to include any other deadly weapon besides a gun.

Great idea to level the playing field since all the bad guys carry without a license and now all the good guys will be allowed to carry without one too.

Concealed carry should be federal and valid everywhere where there are no mag gates and police protection - like in courthouses. The idea that I am not allowed to protect my ass in some building and nobody is there to do for me is beyond idiotic. It's criminal.
