Maybe for you young folks in the E.U. that can't afford a nice ride, the insurance to put on it, the maintenance to keep it up and the gas to put into it but for us Americans

would disagree with you.

We love cruising neighboring towns and their restaurants, beaches, the shoreline of Lake Michigan with it's always cool breezes on a 90* day, Polish festivals every week in a different town, or just around the area checking out all the braless and hard bellied women. :-)

No cruizig needed any more. We have in Germany since 1 juni this year 9 Euro ticket for trains and buses valid nationwide. 🚂🚃

Cars = freedom. Trains = Auschwitz or at least sheep. Not even close.
Make it a convertible and it's like acting in your own movie.

Cars = yesterday,
trains/coaches = tomorrow.

I like the freedom to be able to stop anytime, anyplace, anywhere, go as fast as I want, to go as slow as I want, not have other people coughing on me, taking my big dogs with me, going thru the forest, smelling the fresh air with the windows down, not listening to someone else's spawn crying, not waiting to come or go, taking a different route home, my privacy, people not starring at my scarred face, smelly body odors of others, turning around to go back to take a second look at some hot babe, being able to going where rail doesn't go, but if you enjoy riding on some decease infested public transit from point A to point B, cool, that means less traffic on the road for me to contend with. :-)

I do admit that trains in Europe are fun if you are in the 1st class. I will never forget that ride from Berlin to Warsaw in a restaurant car with a pork chop and beer for $8 in front of me.

When you have a good connection train and bus is much nicer than car.

The downside of train: you are now with your luggage and it's raining. Your wife is angry and the kids are crying and asking are we there yet. Yikes.

Car: right up to the hotel's main entrance door. Ten steps and everybody is happy and smiles.

I once to a Greyhound bus from Chicago to Ft.Myers, FL and it took over 35 hours stopping at every redneck $hithole along the way. Every time the bus stopped you have to pretend youre sleeping across the chair or some weirdo will sit next to you. This was back in the early 90s, never again.

9 Euro ticket in Germany is in fact travel pass valid up tu 1 month (yes you can use it up to 1 month for only 9 Euro) but not for ICE, IC or EC trains.

Youre the dumb Kunt that lives in Europe and have absolutely nothing to brag about, except starting wars with your neighbors.
