A group of unarmed jackasses storming the Capitol Building is hardly a coup.
Did they break the law? Yes.
Should some of them be jailed? Yes.
There has not been one shred of evidence any of the jackasses were armed. Not one. Strange way to conduct a coup against a powerful and stable government. It wasn't a coup, it was jackasses fed up with government-it was a protest-an unlawful protest, but not a coup.
Are you not suspicious that this committee investigating this act is totally partisan? These committees always include equal amount of members from each party with majority party getting plus one as chairman of committee. Only two repubs are on this committee, two who are in lock-step with dems. This is a charade.
A charade that is being promoted by legacy media and leftist cable networks. There is as much objectivity in this committee hearing as there are virgins in a whorehouse.
If the sitting democrats were really concerned about defending democracy and the democratic process, they would be doing something about protecting the third prong of American democracy: the Supreme Court, which is comprised of 9 individuals.
The democratic controlled House of Reps (akin to your house if commons) denied a bill that would increase the protection of Individual justices, who have experienced uncharted threats to not only them but their families outside their homes. You may not have heard, because it wasn't widely reported, but a guy armed with a gun, knife, and zip ties was arrested before he carried out his intent ti murder a Supreme Court Justice. The dems denied aforementioned bill after the arrest.
