They are very often directly related. Unless you want to argue that it's okay for a mother to die of complications during pregnancy as long as a bunch of cells have a chance to survive, or that it's totally acceptable that a 12-year-old is forced to carry a baby to term after she was brutally raped by her dad. Conservatives seem to be willing to bend over backwards to force their religious beliefs on everyone in the country. "Sluts should keep their legs shut to avoid an abortion" is a straw man argument. If conservatives are really pro-life, they should adopt a crack baby or one of the countless kids in the foster care system.

I would never argue against a medical or rape abortion. I argue against all "choice" abortions. When its medical or rape, its not choice, its required IMO. This topic wont tilt an election. Your comments on not fixing problems in the US for years is accurate. So isnt it about fvcking time?

Understood. I believe that abortions should generally be allowed before the end of the first trimester; much like in most other developed countries. Pro-life from conception to birth is far too radical in my eyes as it is almost exclusively driven by religious beliefs. Severely restricting abortions, like many red states have chosen to do, will cause major problems for them in the future. They will end up with large numbers of unwanted kids in the foster care system and they will cause a population increase of minorities. Exactly the kind of people many racist folks in the South don't want.
