The only price the US has to pay to be a global super power is maintenance of its nukes, military bases at home, and a few smaller military bases abroad. Being a super power means having the ability to wipe out an enemy, not being constantly in conflict. With every city in the US having a large national guard armory, and so many people with legalized weapons in their possesion, no one will ever invade the US. So the only purpose for such a huge military is to be the global police force, and thatis simply not what any military is supposed to do. The military is supposed to protect the US and its interests. Issues in Syria are not in the US interests for example.
In the US you are essentially punished for being successful. Higher tax on everything. Double and triple taxation just to obtain one product. And then people wonder why wealthy peopletry to pay as little as possible? Thats just fvcking moronic. If I make a large amount of money, the government just takes what it thinks it should? WTF common sense is that? If I am 10K short of hitting a new tax bracket that costs me 42% of that money, what is my incentive to work to hit that mark to pay more? None. If I am making that much, I would say fvck it, and take a vacation and leave that money on the table for next year. That is how wealthy people think.
Socialism and the health care system at work is evident in Canada. It is a disaster. So much so and friend of mine went to the US and paid cash for a heart operation instead of waiting the nine months it would have taken in Canada. Same situation in Poland much of the time. The hospitals and doctors in the US will never go for it because they are for profit organizations. You deal with the system you have when the system is too big to change.
I understand the Education financial issues better than most. Five family members were employees of this system. Two at the elementary level, two in HS, and one a University professor. The Federal Department of Education is a financial disaster and not needed at all. Every teacher after the first few years is well compensated. With benefits, time of and salary they do well. Not great if in the public sector, but certainly not bad. Yet all they do is complain. You chose your profession. The one that was a professor, made millions by writing text books that students had to purchase to take his classes. Cost of text book was around $300. This he did for nearly 40 years. Talk about a rapist, that is a financial anal raping of every student. School of choice should be a local issue, not national. Every local school board and municipality can easily regulate those issues on their own.
Free market economies are not always pretty, but they are what drive the world economy. Without the US innovation for the last 100 years, the world would be operating at a much slower pace. When you tell people that the government is going to strip their wealth and their rights away with socialist programs, crazy taxation, and insane immigration policy, you are going to create the basis for removal of the government. It happened in 1776 over some tea, and the democratic policy looking forward is more socialist, and trasfering of wealth. The democratic party looks more Marxist than Democratic today, Marxism and Socialism failed, and will continue to fail. This is why Biden will fail, and anyone else following in his footsteps.
