Trump is NOT wrong about run-away immigration policies, hands down.
It's the irrationally extreme lengths to which he takes those ideas.

Furthermore, this is America, not some banana republic or a historically
Faschist dicatorship. Merely because any president snaps their fingers and
"orders" the state militia to fire upon and randomly arrest suspected protesters,
does not mean those charged with such unfair action necessarily have to carry
out said orders which presumably they know to be wrong.

All that needs to happen is a simple case of ol'-fashioned civil disobedience, and
the president in question will be stymied for good! What's Trump gonna do? Can
he physically force or even forcibly threaten members of the National Guard or
states' militia?? If the latter merely stand there and never draw their weapons, there's
nothing that a sitting president can do.

However, as this has heretofore not been tested, it's hard to say just what will ensue.
One can only hope that Kamala wins and that some semblance of sanity will somehow
prevail. Otherwise, D.C. will turn into an unprecedented bloodbath!!

If he is elected, I'm highly doubtful that he would or even could make good on, what the media
term, his "dark threats".

As I posted the other day, we as proud (if not jingoistic) Americans, belong to a democracy and
not a monarchy. Therefore, no president can merely muscle their way into office a la Hitler,
foist some sham election onto the public and declare themselves sole potentate who is somehow
above the law.
