I would like to see you make one controversial remark in your life. You know, espouse some thought, which hasn't been poured over ad infinitum by others - and thus introduce something novel to the discourse.

In example, you have to say something along the lines of, "Most people believe X, but in fact it is Y that is more operative in this context". In Russian we call what you do: «пускать рыб», or "releasing fish". Saying seemingly meaningful things, as though you have provided a favor to your listeners, when in fact it is an obvious thing not worth spending a minute's conversation on. An example of this would be: "When it comes to universities, the prestige of the institution and the caliber of its teaching staff, is less relevant than the quality of the student body itself." I think you would expect that this is something people would want to discuss at length, but in fact is obvious to any civilian.
