Your logic is fine. What is not fine is vagueness on one side and specificity on the other as far as everything - from casualties to war crimes. But I am not naive and understand the bias and its origins. I am biased, too, but only because I hate Europe and NATO more than I do Russia. The enemy of my enemy thing...
Now, why do I hate you, Euroholes, and your damn NATO? I hate you because the US, stupidly, got itself entangled into a lopsided contractual crap - like an insurance company that is saddled with obligations but does not collect premiums from the deadbeats. How would Germany and France react if the US got into a shooting war with China? Don't bother answering.
What makes me want to vomit is the word "mutual" as in a "mutual defense treaty". Sure. Poland in a mutual defense treaty with the US. Or Albania.
And then there is this Euro smugness: Defending Europe is good for the US economy, say the PF as*holes who don't have to pay US taxes. My only response: Fu*ck you, patronizing weasels...
Russia is on solid ground invading Ukraine - the country that Russia only wanted to be neutral and NATO-free. Legally and forever. Russia has been asking for it like once a day.
So until the US, publicly and sincerely, announces that it would not mind if Mexico and Canada formed a military alliance with China or Russia, Russia has nothing to apologize for regardless how many babies are found dead.
While we are waiting for that announcement, we can look up the meaning and proper usage of "would go apeshit* - which is what the US would do if that actually was about to happen.
