First of all it isn't "the EU's" war. It also isn't "Europe's" war. Ukraine isn't in the EU and Europe is a continent, not a country. It's a war between two countries - RuSSia and Ukraine.

In theory, from the official point of view, the only countries who should be getting involved are the US and the UK, because those countries signed the Budapest Memorandum. Also France and China to some extent since they signed separate documents also giving security assurances to Ukraine for giving up it's nukes to RuSSia.

But, of course, it's not only the US and the UK helping Ukraine and trying to stop RuSSia. Majority of the EU is and the whole West in general, even a country as far away from all of this as Australia.

Sanctions imposed on RuSSia by the EU are hitting the EU too (including Poland), not only RuSSia, johnny_reb. Unlike the US, the EU's economy is dependent on RuSSian natural resources. We're all paying a price for stopping RuSSia, not only the US.

What does it have to do with helping Ukraine? Those soldiers are stationed in NATO countries, not in Ukraine. And I've never heard about the US requesting other NATO soldiers to be stationed in America. Why? Well, I'm guessing that it's probably because the US feel safe enough since they are a freaking nuclear superpower and a few thousands soldiers from this or that country on American soil wouldn't change anything as far as the US international security is concerned.

And as for immigration, Poland has it's own on-going border crisis with Belarus which is waging a hybrid warfare against us. We're pretty busy here, johnny_reb, and we don't have as many people to spare as the US.
