Doesn't seem that we all remember it correctly, otherwise you would know that Germany decided to send lethal aid within days after the invasion. Or that the helmets and other non-lethal aid were offered in the weeks before the invasion, at a time when other countries that had no taboo on sending weapons to active war zones had strict limits on the kind of lethal aid they were willing to provide.

1. The EU (not Germany) based on the recommendation of the EU Comission backed by a vast majority of the EU countries withheld funds because of PiS attempts to undermine the rule of law. Far from backstabbing, the EU is supporting Poland in its' struggle to remain a democracy. We do not need a second Orban regime (which PiS shamefully supported) in the EU. If Poland ends up receiving less money, you can blame PiS for that.
