Uisce beatha is the Irish language name for whiskey. Uisce meaning water, beatha meaning life, the water of life. The Scots spell it without the 'e' whisky.

1. A rare event does not a miracle make.

2. A miracle, as opposed to an ordinary event, however rare, must involve the supernatural and violate the laws of STEM. Typically, the laws of physics.

When a kid falls out of the fifth-floor window, lands on bushes, and survives, that is not a miracle.

When a kid falls out of the fifth-floor window to his imminent death because there are no bushes, stops falling at the midpoint, reverses, and is gently placed on the window sill, that's a miracle.
