A counterexample though: last January, after the Paris attack, a march was held in the memory of the victims and in protest of terrorism. Apparently, many Muslims joined in.

Appearances and group loyalty count for a lot in all the muslim majority societies I know anything about. When outnumbered, the "muslims must stick together" ethos seems to be pretty strong. Of course when they're a majority other tensions come to the fore....

You guys always forget that large numbers of refugees kept arriving in Greece and Italy long before Merkel stepped in. Until she did, Europe had done nothing to help. If the Germans wouldn't have opened their borders, the Italians and Greeks would be in the same deep sh*it Germany is now in. Besides: if Germany (and with it the EU) fails, the rest of the continent will be screwed as well. Don't be so naive to believe that Poland and all the other countries won't be going down with them.

It seems that nobody can, Polonius. I still have a lot of friends in Germany, and no matter whom I ask, they are all against letting more refugees into the country. The German politicians and media are not telling the truth at the moment and belittle the problems that lie ahead. 1.5 million refugees per year for the next 5 years! Once they are accepted as asylum seekers they can bring in their large families. You do the math. There are over 650,000 Polish in UK. Half my town is Polish. Many of my friends are Polish. We have similar culture, humour. And Poles are beautiful people.

In Germay there DOES seem to be a conspiracy about releasing footage as the police have been specifically told to play down the violence in the refugee centers.

This happened in July but CCTV deliberately not circulated til October, so the perpetrator had 3 months to get away (what use is that?).
