Not only the Russians, but the Polish and Ukrainians as well. Polish mediaeval chroniclers also say that the Poles originated from the Balkans.

The question is: have the Prot-Slavic people originated somewhere in the Eastern European Plain or have they first migrated there from the Balkans and then developed from there as the Slavic race.

Have in mind science. Science is universal truth. It differ from politics. 12.000 years ago Europe was Balkan in 80%. Rest of Europe was Crimea and southern Spain. How so? Only on these three locations existed conditions for civilization and traces of civilization are indeed found, richest on Balkan, even writing, religious system- oldest in the world. Other parts of Europe were glacial ice that in most of Poland, central, western and eastern Europe was even 2 km thick. Now, even migrations of birds and animals in Europe after Ice age support this thesis, as well as genetics on human skeletons. Europe was re-populated from Balkan in slow migrations along the rivers after Ice age.

One more thing.

Czech Yandacek says that by all means, Slavic language could be even 40.000 years old. If that`s truth, not one, but at least 2 Ice ages happened in Europe when first form of Slavic was spoken. Meaning, at least twice civilization in most of Europe collapsed and survived only on Balkan and from there twice was Europe re-populated after Ice ages.

Gathering of former Yugoslavia and entire Balkan started around Serbia. While Serbian economy bringing salvation to entire region around initiative `Open Balkan`, people speaks of `Serbian world`. First time since Serbian Empire in 14th century, Serbia`s word in the region is stronger then the words of Germany, entire western Europe, Turkey, Vatican and Greeks. USA, Russia, Poland? Well, they are either with Serbia or not against Serbia.

That what you talking was fact, maybe, if ever, I don`t know, let`s say 70.000 to 100.000 years ago but, since our ancestors (same people or different) entered Europe they, even if were different, they became one ethos.

How so?

Simple. They populated Europe along rivers. Then, Ice ages started. Several of them came and finished. Several times people in Europe retreated from glacial ice and again re-populated Europe after Ice age was over. Where people retreated? All of Europe? To Balkan. 90% of Europe`s populace. So, even if those were different ethoses in thousands upon thousands years of intermixing in relatively limited area, while lived in refugium, they no doubt became one people. Not just that but they absorbed even Neanderthals. Or, they all were absorbed by Neanderthals that were, as it is confirmed by science, the original first Whites.

So all Whites, not just Slavs, originate from Balkan Ice age refugium. No wonder you have name of Serbs ie Sarmatians spread all over the Europe. In every corner of Europe. And no wonder name of that once united ethos survived in some areas of Europe even to our time.

It's a small insignificant country, completely surrounded by countries that are pro-EU (or anti-Serbian because they tend to be bad neighbors) who can close their airspace (ask the walking tvrd Lavrov). The only pro-Russia country they border is Hungary... which is also surrounded by anti-Russian countries.

It is typical of a British person to take a short term view. Yes, it may be true that during the last 3,000 years (maximum) - Serbs have been brought low through a conspiracy of several bad actors. The Roman Empire, and it's orphan child - the Papacy - are responsible for most of this period's problems. Then there is something to say for the Ottomans and Germans. However, none of them were able to break the Sarmatian spirit. Where is the Roman Empire today - gone. Where is Serbia - thriving. That is all you need to know.
