I have consistently condemned all attacks on civilians wherever they come from with straight words. I dont try to "excuse" or explain away anything. I naively assumed most people felt the same.

The people shown in the video were mainly young men and boys. The kids don't really know what they're doing or why. They just copy the adults. Gaza has been ruled by Hamas for years and the young men are the most easily radicalized. But there are many in Gaza who don't want to be ruled by Hamas. What support there is for Hamas is an unfortunate result of years of violation of human and civil rights of Palestinians by the Israeli authorities.

Before Hamas came into power there were decent, ordinary people on both sides who tried to live as neighbours and friends. What a terrible irony that the Kibbutz where Hamas have unleashed such savage brutality was one of those places:

No, first of all that video was posted 6 days ago, so I'm guessing it was filmed when they brought hostages to Gaza right after they kidnapped them.
