Your wish is my command.... (though not really rubbish, pretty great, actually)

Johnny Cash`s wife as well!

a set of sounds you want to hear again.

For example: "We will close the damn border on the day I am sworn in as president."

Music to my ears...I can play it over and over...

Your old record player is stuck and you are in the wrong thread!Stop trolling!

I think Christine McVie is still criminally underrated.

Agreed.

If somebody forced me to listen to her again I would kill her and myself.

That's because you are tone deaf and, like Jim, cannot appreciate decent music.

@Feniks

Some superb posts from you! Thank you!

That is another appalling American ballad.

It was, Rich has no real interest in music and his choice of songs just prove the fact.

Here is one that meets all three reqs:

Sorry mate, just another appalling American ballad! Just pure rubbish!

Jim, cannot appreciate decent music.

Who said ? YOU ? lmao
The noise you post is for deaf stoners.
That is not music, son, that's pure noise.
When it comes to music, all your taste is in your mouth. HONEST !

I don't think she was hugely popular or particularly well-known in the States

She was a niche artist in the US. I knew some people that were really into her.... I have nothing against niche artists (many of my faves) but I never quite got her.

I do think it's nice that she's finally broken into the US market but she's still not my thing....

This however, very niche.... and very great. Tight seamless harmonies (of the kind that tend to occur only in families), affecting lyrics (much deeper than they appear on the surface) and a really great guitar work courtesy of Robert Fripp....

How the Roches were never superstars is a mystery.....

Enya >>>>> Bush

Perfection vs nothing...

I like both but Enya is nowhere in the same league as Kate Bush (whose mother incidentally was Irish, she was from Waterford). Enya's piano skills are pedestrian and her voice is very much a nice schoolgirl from the convent (she has atrocious breath control and phrasing) but there is a certain charm to what she does and it can be very soothing to listen to. Kate Bush on other hand is a real artist and was precociously gifted from an early age. She wrote some of her best songs, including Wuthering Heights, during her early teens.

including Wuthering Heights

This reminds me (rather indirectly) of another great but niche sister act, namely Kate and Anna McGarrigle (the former of which was the mother of Rufus and Martha Wainwright).

Love over and over (with Mark Knopfler on guitar)

"I could say love over and over and over
I could say baby baby baby 'til my tongue spirals out of my head
...
I've walked upon the moors
On many misguided tours
Where Emily, Anne and Charlotte
Poured their hearts out
What did they know
What could they know about love
What did they know
Or anyone know about love?"

Yes, Sorry is a nice one:. :):):):) Musically I mean, of course, coz the official video clip is utterly silly so here is the album cover one.

That is not music, son, that's pure noise.

You are far too old to have any knowledge or taste in proper music.

Still good

It is, but stupid Jim won't get it.

Kate Bush on other hand is a real artist and was precociously gifted from an early age

I couldn't agree more, though I still like Enya too.

a couple more Kate Bush songs

Excellent ones.
However, I must shyly admit I also appreciate new covers of her songs. E.g, this Wuthering Heights one sounds almost like the original:

Proper music does not have to be played so loud that it hurts your ears.
You just don't get it.
I agree with Feniks on this one.

Being desperate for allies, you agree with Karen on everything. 🙄 Hoot !
Don't be such a condescending sycophant and just grow up!

Who realized that Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' was a cover of a 1950 big band song?

Are you sure that song version wasn't created by Ai? Many web page contributors credit KB as writing the song when she was 18.
