@Velund, many, if not majority, of Poles have family in the countryside, my grandma has fields and a garden with vegetables and a forest with wild mushrooms. My family knows how to work in the field. Even in the city people have small lots of land called "działki" where they grow vegetables and fruit trees and we know how to make food preserves, so I think we can grow our own food, if needs be, and we won't starve :P

I also know that the vast majority of Russia is on the Asian continent and Siberia in inhabitable and not farmable in most cases. You though demonstrate your ignorance to North America - The USA and Canada can produce on their own without Russia, and still provide to Europe. Europe faming, particularly in Poland is far more advanced than Russia by all accounts and has much more farmable land than Russia. The EU does not need anything from Russia by way of produce, meat or grains. Neither does the rest of the world. China doesn't need Russia either. China is owed so much money from the US they will make a deal with the US before making one with Russia.
