Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

Compare combined population of NATO countries with India/China/Russia trio. All three is members of nuclear club,

You really are genuinely an idiot aren't you? Population size is irrelevant as is nuclear capacity. Foolish though that trio may be, they, no more than us wish for nuclear war. As for population, it's the military that counts. The armies of NATO countries are properly trained, disciplined armed forces, not like the unfortunate Russian soldiers who throughout history have merely been canon fodder. The Russian army relies on its size rather than its skill. In straightforward, non-nuclear engagements they could never defeat NATO forces.

@Crnogorac3, what are you sniffing?? :D The same stuff that Crow does? lol

Foolish though that trio may be, they, no more than us wish for nuclear war.

Indeed.

In straightforward, non-nuclear engagements they could never defeat NATO forces.

Yup:

"the combined number of troops that NATO can call on is close to 3.4 million with another 2 million reservists and paramilitary forces according to Statista"

majority, of Poles have family in the countryside

One of the things that struck me when I visited the PRL was just how much food everyday Polish people produced for themselves (since stores could not be relied upon).

I noticed that in private homes even, an area that might be a yard in other countries was mostly taken up with gardens growing food (and heard chicken sounds from more than one garage...). This continued well into the 1990s and it's only been the last few years that działki were seen as being more for recreation than as a food source.

So the cultural knowledge is still very much there should the need arise.

@maf, yes, exactly... My grandparents, and later on my grandma, would always share meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit and wild mushrooms with us and the rest of the family and every summer we would help them by working in the field and in the garden and in the autumn we would go mushroom hunting, we would dry mushrooms, make pickles, etc. My mother still makes her own apple and plum jam on regular basis, because one lady from her neighbourhood has a "działka" and gives her the surplus of her apples and plums for free.

During difficult times it isn't so bad to be a nation of "peasants", huh :)))

The Moscow stock exchange to remain closed through March 8th. Russian investments delisted throughout the worlds other exchanges. Assets being seized around the world.

You might want to ask yourself why everything in the world is priced in USD, Euro and Pounds. Nothing is priced in Rubles, Rupee's or Renminbi on the global markets. So, to save you time, it is because the USD, Euro and Pound are the world standards by which all other countries are measured. Russia is nothing.

All of this said, we can agree with you Russian POS on one thing. Russia since 1917 has complained about the rest of the world not liking them, not treating them fairly, not wanting them to be equals on the world stage. This is true, we agree that your complaints are founded in truth because we do not like you, we will not treat you fairly, and you are not equals on the world stage. So when trying to solve a problem you first must get to the root of the problem.

The root of the problem is and always has been, Russia is not a civilized nation. That's it. You may have modern technologies provided to you the last few decades and other comforts, but those are only "things". You are not free. You have no real lives. You are a country full of dictators, pogroms, and oppression. This is why all Russians, whether they support Putin or not, are seen in the same light as Putin and all that came before him. Uncivilized. Just as the unprovoked war on Ukraine is uncivilized. Now, once again, the world has to join together to beat you back down to the dust you belong in. And we will. Thats just a fact.

Those soldiers and reserve officers will soon be getting paid in scrip notes though I suspect Putin will keep some hard currency to keep his bodyguards loyal

The Moscow stock exchange to remain closed through March 8th.

For now, non-residents is not allowed to sell any stocks, and not allowed to send money abroad.
Do you think only west can arrest russian money under their jurisdiction?

he evil degenerate post-modernist (((West))) has risen up against one man.

Nurse, nurse you are needed here!!!

I will not be allowed to carry out obviously criminal orders

Oh come on. You are a Russian in Russia where orders are never criminal, so you will shoot at whoever they order you to shoot.

@Velund
Residents can not sell stocks or send money abroad either. Why? Because of sanctions. You used the right term though "arrest" which is what has happened to your country effectively arresting the Russian financial system. Which once again is backed up by foreign currency and without that currency, or the opportunity to move it, your mother Russia is nothing. Again, follow the money troll, you have none and the west has it all. It must be hard to look at the truth and know you are nothing in the eyes of the world. I can not pity an uncivilized society though, and that is all Russia is. Happy gulag!

Deliberately sending Russians to die. And that's why Putin, and Lavrov must die. All present Politicians must be put on a firing line to pay for war crimes. Maybe then you Fing idiots will get a clue. Or, we will slowly starve you out. You can make the choice.

Russian TV staff walk off set after final broadcast (video):

bbc.com/news/av/world-europe-60615753

'One of Russia's last independent news outlets TV Rain has stopped broadcasting indefinitely after coming under pressure for its coverage of Ukraine.

The channel, also know as Dozhd, ended its final broadcast by showing staff walking off set on Thursday.

Russia's telecommunications regulator accused the channel of "inciting extremism, abusing Russian citizens, causing mass disruption of public calm and safety, and encouraging protests".'

So, I guess it means that only Echo Moscow and Novaya Gazeta are left...?

Only 5 countries vote against UN resolution condemning Russian invasion of Ukraine:

Russia, North Korea, Eritrea, Syria, and Belarus.

China did not support Russia, India did not support Russia. Both are playing the long game and doing nothing. They will wait for Russia to fall, just as I said. These are the five countries Russia can do business with. North Korea and Syria are already starving to death dumpster fires. Eritrea is in South Africa and it's GDP doesn't even equal Elon Musk's monthly earnings. Belarus will fall right after Russia. All turd world countries who contribute nothing to the world. Enjoy your company. Maybe you can all sit around a camp fire some day and share some camel meat while talking about the good old days when you could eat at America's McDonalds.

I wonder if it's true... If it is then that's... wow... They're treating their own like sh1t...

They're treating their own like sh1t...

The Russian state has always treated their own like sh]t. Sympathy is for the strong, the weak get contempt.

And it especially treats soldiers like sh/t willing to kill off large numbers of them to achieve some goal or other.

Afterwards, they publicly blubber crocodile tears about the glorious fallen 'heroes'...

some kind of a dialect?

It's an empire, defined by lots of second language speakers. He might be central Asian (for example) who learned Russian in school...

surface area of agricultural land in Poland is 15.4 million ha, which constitutes nearly 50% of the total area of the country.

That is correct. Polish farming could easily feed 120 million people and still have big production reserves, so I wouldn't worry about Poland starving :)

The Ukrainians recaptured Hostomel. Russian equipment totally destroyed. Russian soldiers without heads. With torn arms, legs, burned on coal.
This war is looking better and better. Even if the Russians ultimately win, they will suffer enormous losses in people and equipment + they will have to deal with enormous Ukrainian guerrillas. If we add enormous economic sanctions to this, it is simply a great catastrophe for Russia. This war can be easily compared to the Battle of Beneventum.

Well, thankfully in Syria they have plenty. Getting to Syria though, is going to be difficult and expensive. And of course you always run the risk of the Syrian meat being contaminated with chemical agents. I wonder if they can make it taste like McDonalds, minus all the sand of course. I wonder how welcoming those middle east nations that Russia also killed a bunch of people will be when that becomes the new vacation center for Russians. Would you like a backpack full of c4 with your water comrade?

I recommend reading this - Russians are so brainwashed that they don't believe even their own children who got stuck in Ukrainian cities which are being attacked:

bbc.com/news/world-europe-60600487

And Velund is a typical Russian, I'm afraid:

"I called my mum again. I told her I was scared. 'Don't worry', she said, reassuringly. 'They [Russia] will never bomb Kyiv'."

But they are already doing it, Anastasiya replied.

"I told her there were casualties among civilians. 'But that's what we had too when Ukraine attacked Donbas!', she said, laughing. For a moment I couldn't breathe. Hearing my mum say this with such cruelty just broke my heart."

Hearing my mum say this with such cruelty

I've heard stories of breathtaking cruelty in Russian families... that's what happens when people are socially and materially deprived... people actively wish for the deaths of family members so they'll have more room in their cramped Soviet apartments... (and far, far worse).

The more a culture bleats about how important family is.... the more likely that the opposite is true.

Within a culture those who are most vocal about the importance of "family values" are almost invariably the cruelest to their own families.

No, all of this is about Putin's and Putinazis' paranoia and imperialistic ambitions.

You are so right. That evil Putin and his hallucinations about NATO. The nut forgot that NATO ended six months after the Warsaw Pact. I have to send him an email.

Echo Moscow

Echo of Moscow was shut down like three days ago, already - they kept for a while as an internet radio but were targeted by the authorities anyway - after that they simply disbanded
