Yes, exactly. Poland and the Baltic states joined NATO years ago. And? What happened? Were there NATO missiles placed in those countries? No, they weren't, even though Russia has missiles in Kaliningrad - at NATO's border. Did NATO invade Russia? Nope. And the EU has been doing business with Russia all this time becoming more and more dependent on the Russian gas. So where was that terrible NATO threat? Nowhere. Putin simply needs NATO as a bogeyman to scare Russians in order to better control them. That's all there is to it, so spare me this bullsh1t. It seems the leadership of the Ukrainian army is beginning to get it...

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Azov headquarters in Mariupol with a Tochka-U missile, destroying over 20 fighters and 10 pieces of equipment (vehicles).
The reason for this was contradictions between the AFU command and the national battalions. The Azov batallion completely refused to obey the army leadership and coordinate their actions with it.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Yury Sodol, commander of the Operational Tactical Group East of AFU, was fatally wounded in a clash between the Ukrainian military and the Azov battalion. His car was fired upon at one of the Ukrainian checkpoints.
