If you are basing your thinking on the Geneva Convention why do you keep listing WWII events as analogies? You do know that the treaties of the Geneva Convention were signed post-WWII, yes?

Again, do you think Putin is justified in attacking Ukraine?

I may not be completely correct about this, but my understanding of the Geneva Convention is that it deals with humanitarian things during time of war, and not things involved with actual military combat, ie justifications of war.

The specifics of the "attack" are a different matter. To his credit, Putin was very verbose about what he cannot accept and what he wants. It seems that the Russians have finally entered Irpin, essentially the western suburbs of Kiev where the biggest battles so far have been fought. It is on the move Hostomel - Bucha - Irpin. But we have to wait and see if they can hold their position and stay there.
