Forgive me please. Read the article I posted. Very interesting take. Talking to some finance people, by Monday things will begin to deteriorate in the major Russian cities rather quickly. This is a hedge fund guy who really knows foreign markets. Velund was pretty active with his propaganda at the beginning of all of this so I have no sympathy for him or any of the others, though he is certainly free to express his thoughts and opinions. In democracies we allow that without locking people up.

I think we are all forgetting how the US was warning of exactly what was going to happen and nearly dead on when it was going to happen. The next prediction is massive bombing of cities. I fear Berlin of WW2 will look like a newly developed city compared to what is going to happen in Kiev and others. This is exactly why those planes from Poland are going to be critical.

Yes, I agree about the planes, but the decision has to be made on the highest NATO level and approved as NATO operation - otherwise Poland would expose herself to retaliatory action, and NATO could claim that it was our own initiative. Also, it has to be done "in white gloves" through a third-party country (for the same reason).

Which is why it can not be and will not be a NATO "action". NATO will not object, while the USA has already approved. The sale will be brokered, I am betting through Moldova and they will get these planes. Seeing how quickly Ukraine got their military aid packages, I am betting these planes are in the air by Friday if not sooner. I am betting the voting has already taken place secretly, and that this wont be made public until after the planes are already in Ukraine hands.

Well, let's see what happens. Poland has to be careful about this, because if the sh*t hits the fan and Russia sees this as an act of war and nukes a Polish city or two, then I know exactly how many nukes NATO or the US will fire at Russia. I know the exact number.

According to a former colleague of Putin - I think he was deputy foreign minister if I remember correctly - he says Putin will prefer not to flatten Kyiv if he can avoid it, partially because of its cultural resonance as 'the mother of Russian cities'. He says Putin will aim rather to surround it and then issue an ultimatum to Zelensky and give him maybe 24 hours to surrender.

NATO has been sending weaponry to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion and jets are just that - another piece of weaponry. If it's done properly, those jets will get into Ukraine in such a way as to not give Russia an excuse to start WWIII. If anyone stars WWIII, it's going to be Russia, not NATO.

Somewhere around the 1st of March the biggest Polish internet shop with art supplies that I've been buying from announced that they won't be buying anything produced in Russia and Belarus anymore. Those Russian and Belarusian art supplies they already have are being sold at 15% sale price and the entire income from those sales will be given for aid for Ukraine.

Russia Sets Humanitarian Corridors

On Monday, Russia announced a temporary ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from the cities of Kharkov, Kiev, Mariupol, and Sumy.

"Russian forces declare a 'regime of silence' starting at 10:00 (07:00 GMT) on March 7 and the opening of humanitarian corridors," the Russian Defense Ministry announced, adding that the measure was taken in response to the worsening of the humanitarian situation in these Ukrainian cities and to a request made by French President Emmanuel Macron to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

One humanitarian corridor will start from Kiev, pass through Gostomel and Chernobyl, and end in the Belarusian city of Gomel, from which the refugees will be transported to Russia.

From Mariupol, the refugees will be evacuated via two routes: one route will start from Mariupol to Rostov-on-Don in Russia, and the other route will start from Maripol to Mangush in the Donetsk basin. The route from Kharkov will reach Belgorod in Russia and the routes from Sumi will culminate in Belgorod and Poltava.

The opening of these humanitarian corridors was notified to the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE), the International Committee of the Red Cross, and other international organizations operating in Ukraine.

The Russian Armed Forces demanded that Ukraine fulfill all the conditions for the creation of humanitarian corridors that guarantee an organized withdrawal of civilians and foreign citizens.
