Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

mafketis
7 Mar 2022  #4051

Twitter thread on Russian support for Putin and the war.

short story: They really support him because they agree that nothing called Ukraine or Ukrainian should exist.

threadreaderapp.com/thread/1500791956200378375.html

the idea that anything but a very tiny minority are opposed to this is wrong. Putin isn't the real problem. He's a symptom of the real problem....

Russian forces had some victories too...

Yes, the hit on the children's cancer hospital last week was a real piece of heroic fighting by the Russians.

50 "Gepard" in stock - German armaments company offers tanks for Ukraine

welt.de/wirtschaft/plus237141331/50-Gepard-auf-Lager-deutscher-Ruestungskonzern-KMW-bietet-Panzer-fuer-Ukraine-an.html

Brazil used it in 2014 to protect the World Cup, and Qatar is also getting it: the German Gepard anti-aircraft gun tank, which can shoot down drones. The armaments company KMW could also deliver 50 models to the Ukraine - relatively quickly, they say. The federal government has to decide.

German armaments company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) could supply Ukraine with anti-aircraft gun tanks from its own stock. "The decision lies with the federal government," says KMW boss Ralf Ketzel in the WELT interview: "We have around 50 models of the Cheetah type in our own stock, which could be made operational again relatively quickly."

The tank model, which has been discarded by the Bundeswehr for around ten years, could be used ideally for drone defense in the Russia-Ukraine war, says Ketzel. It would not be the first export of the model from KMW stocks......

PS: Just learned that the polish Mig-29 in question for Ukraine (22 of them) had been once a gift from Germany....after the re-unification from the ex-GDR stock....

IMHO Poland should definitely make that deal with the US, they need new fighter jets pronto!

The tank model

Given German attiude, it has no engine and no ammo.

@GefreiterKania
Putin now must die, or Russia will die economically. These are the only options. I am not really worried about nukes. His generals and the oligarch like life too much to let him end everything. If NATO needs to steam roll Russia then so be it. Lets end the sh*t show country once and for all. Then we can hunt down all its supports and end them too.

No! I support independent Ukrainie.
I'm against Russian agression.
Those Moscow freaks had done enough, stop them.

stop them.

How? We don`t have international order. NATO and EU ruined it by attacking numerous countries in past few decades.

Dirk diggler
7 Mar 2022  #4061

and has not made any real progress in the last week.

They've occupied more of the country than USA did in the first 1-2 weeks of the Iraq invasion...

They are getting humiliated on the battlefield

Last time I checked it's Ukraine begging NATO and the EU to save their ass....

It's SOP military doctrine to send your cannon fodder in first to test the situation and keep your most experienced and best armed forces in reserve. The Russian force that are in Ukraine atm are 18-20 year olds who are still wet behind the ears - literally it's the bottom third of what's stationed on the border...

No! I support independent Ukrainie.

Well good for you, I personally don't care as I have no love for Ukraine or Russia in this matter. For one, they've both been massacring Poles since the middle ages i.e. UPA which is today groups like Right Sector, Azov, National Corps, Svoboda, etc., and two I don't want to see Poland have to suffer economically or demographically by letting them in. There were already at least 1-2 million of them before this conflict, now they've let in some 1 million more. This is a county with 40 mln people - we're getting very close to them being 10% of the population and that may already be the case. These people aren't going to go home when they start making 3-4x in Poland what they did in Ukraine. We let enough of them in and pretty soon they're going to start demanding extra rights, minority language status, etc. When I call Tauron to pay the bill it's going to be "za ukraninski natysne dwi" soon.

It's like that old saying: "when two fight, the third wins" Hopefully Poles can figure it out. It's bad enough gas prices were high and getting now getting to unseen levels and it's only the beginning.

I do find it quite funny though how so many people are so pro-Ukranian and anti-Russia, especially in the US because every media outlet is spewing propoganda 24/7. I doubt the majority of Americans, with their common core education and all, could even find Ukraine on a map. The media is only pushing this narrative and getting people fired up because it's Putin and Russia involved. No one cared about the dozen other conflicts in the past 20 years where exponentially more people died. At best, it was a side note even when it was US/NATO bombing civilians.

Poland note

If Poland succumb to the USA pressure and enter war with Russia, it would be fatal mistake that can shatter efforts of Hungary and Serbia to secure neutrality of key countries on Balkan-Baltic line in order to pursue our specific interests.

Forget the military, the changes in Germany haven't even started yet...

German gas phase-out - Habeck's task force is already working on the master plan

welt.de/wirtschaft/plus237329201/Deutscher-Gasausstieg-Habecks-Taskforce-tueftelt-bereits-am-Masterplan.html

Since the Russian attack on Ukraine, Germany has felt its fatal dependence on gas supplies from the aggressor more than ever. A task force of the Ministry of Economics has now developed a scenario for the German gas phase-out. The paper is explosive.

Unnoticed by the public, a task force from the Habeck Ministry is working to quickly end the fatal dependency on the Russian regime, the so-called ad hoc gas reduction project group. The working group has already submitted a ten-page report internally. But the publication of the paper was stopped by the Federal Chancellery, WELT has it. If the proposals are implemented, the consequences would be gigantic.....

Wow.....😮

You can't reason with Polaks. Here is where they operate: We like NATO near Russia. Why don't you, Mr. Putin? NATO is nice and cuddly.

Wow.....😮

Does that proposal include "the US"? If so, Americans will be thrilled to pay more to stay warm.

Bratwurst Boy
7 Mar 2022  #4068

Does that proposal include "the US"?

I have no idea.....I so want to read that paper!!!

But generally it would be nice not to be energy-dependent anymore....just to exchange the dependence from Russia to the US is just not the same....

I wouldn't call such an exchange of provider also neither "explosiv" nor "gigantic"! No, there has to be more to it....

Novichok
7 Mar 2022  #4069

Changing providers would have zero impact on prices. Deleting a provider with 25% of the world's reserves will have an impact and it will be big.

But decent people should always put "democracy" in Ukraine ahead of all else. Even if they live paycheck to paycheck.

Bratwurst Boy
7 Mar 2022  #4070

Deleting a provider with 25% of the world's reserves will have an impact and it will be big.

I'm sure Habeck knows that too....that would be also not directly "explosiv" or "gigantic" but rather predictable.

Noooo....it must be something else....surely!

- literally it's the bottom third of what's stationed on the border...

Finally, someone talking some sense.

It's bad enough gas prices were high and getting now getting to unseen levels and it's only the beginning.

Europe has no idea what they are in for.
The U.S.A.'s economy will suffer too but not even close to what Europe's will.
And you are so right Dirk, "it has just stated."
The atheists will start seeing 'Who' 'really is in charge and will be converting right and left.

Putin stans were thinking it would all be over in 2-3 days

Says who? I don't recall anyone from the Russian government or media saying that. I have heard it numerous times on Fox, CNN, BBC, etc. though along with their usual pro-Israel, anti-Christian propaganda...

I have also heard it from numerous independents including former soldiers explain how that whole "Russia thought they'd occupy Ukraine within 2-3 days" is a total lie since even a private can tell you thinking such a large territory can be invaded and effectively occupied within 2-3 days is simply foolish and impossible and will also tell you an army that advances 40-50+ km a day is impressive.

Also, that whole "column stuck and running out a fuel" near Kiev is another big misrepresentation. They are probing the city's resistances and plotting how to divide their forces accordingly.

12 days in and what does Russia have to show for it?

Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk, Chernobyl, Kherson, Crimea, Cheriniv... they occupied entire oblasts in the east and south east and are strengthening their position.

Ukraine was already on the losing side within 24 hours when Russians occupied all the airports denying them air superiority.

@Dirk diggler
You are incorrect on the numbers. The Russians have sent in 95% of their 150 K they had available. They are getting their a$$es kicked around every corner. They are simply under trained, under equipped and the equipment they do have is essentially cold war era other than their planes. US technology putting an a$$ kicking on them and thats why these scumbags are targeting civilians.

Dont rely on your western news sources for the most accurate information. Didn't we all already agree that they can not be trusted?

I am talking to Ukraine people actually in the cities under attack. The Russians are not just losing they are getting destroyed. The numbers are about 10 Russians dead for 1 Ukraine soldier. Bodies are being taken to portable crematoriums the Russians brought with them. They knew as they always do, that sacrificing men is the only way they can win because their equipment and training is $h*t.

So what we pay more for gas in the US. Drive less and get off your fat a$$es. Limit the demand and supply grows and prices drop. Simple economics even retards in Chicago can understand like Novi.

How?

Nuke them?

I personally don't care as I have no love

If that is about your feelings then by all means feel anyway you like - who cares?

These people

We cross that bridge when and if need to be crossed. As of now it is in Poland interest as well as USA to keep Russia out of Ukraine. That is obvious.

If you worry about gas and oil there is solution let get it from Iran. Unless you think that Israel issues are USA issues.

You can't reason with Polaks.

look slime, admitt you are Russian and i won't feel like puking everytime you post your crap dimwit! You are a particularly vile fatso!

I have also heard

You are not an expert, stop your nonsense. You don't know if they are wiling or loosing to early to judge. One thing is certain they will need about 300 000 to 500 000 troops to keep that counrty in hand.

They expected little to none resistance - that why people who know talk about 2-3 days. Keep your day job/

GefreiterKania

It's SOP military doctrine

I think you might be confusing SOP with POS here, Dirk.

Dirk diggler
7 Mar 2022  #4077

Unless you think that Israel issues are USA issues.

Of course they're not. America gets absolutely nothing from helping Israel. In fact, it costs us tens of billions every year. The average Israeli receives per capita 200k a year from US aid. And what did we get in return? Bombardment of US naval warships (USS Liberty), false flag attacks to draw the US into a conflict (Egypt), and spying on the US president (Trump admin). They constantly drag us into wars. It's not by accident that Muslim extremists groups namely Al Nusra were treated in Israeli hospitals and now Israel is buddy buddy with Saudi Arabia.

who care?

Who cares? All the people who realize the implications of this war that we, whether Americans or Poles, have no interest in.

If you worry about gas and oil there is solution let get it from Iran

You think it's by accident that all Russian banks EXCEPT the 2 that handle the majority of gas and oil were cut off? That should tell you all you need to know...

The U.S.A.'s economy will suffer too but not even close to what Europe's will.

Exactly. That's why I wish US and Poland would wise up preferably sooner than later. These people who tweet about it's our patriotic duty to pay more for gas don't know what they're talking about nor do they realize the repercussions of skyrocketing fuel costs - everything, literally EVERYTHING goes up as a result. And that's on top of the record inflation we're already seeing...

You have gas prices approaching $7 in some US cities, over $5 in Chicago now... We were at $3 and some change under Trump... And ours is cheap compared to Europe...
