That psycho Putin has nothing to do with Christianity. And the Russian Orthodox Church should be ashamed of itself.

"The National Guard of Ukraine provided information on how the Su-25 was shot down over #Kharkiv on March the 6th, apparently the newly-delivered Polish Piorun MANPADS was used (Including delivered thermal optics for spotting)"
More advanced than stingers and javelins against aircraft I hear.

Nice. Maybe the next hit song after "Bayraktar" will be "Piorun". :)

I saw that Russians are still able to fly via Serbia to the EU. And guess the most popular destination ? Frankfurt ? Paris ?
No - it's tiny Cyprus - the money that was meant to buy petrol for tanks and food rations for teenage soldiers is being squirreled away. Russian politicians will be sniffing coke from the buttocks of hookers while gullible kids from Omsk get torched in their convoys

A Russian pilot tells passengers that he believes "the war in Ukraine is a crime," adding "I think each sensible citizens will agree with me and will do everything to make it stop." Rare to see public opposition to the war given the consequences such a statement will have

I think this mood of feeling is growing in Russia.
The question is, is there anyone brave enough to do anything about it?

I think he will have to change their employer soon (if not yet). Russia is relatively free country (compared to current state of EU/US), but some professional positions require to leave their feelings at home while on duty.

You STILL have global internet?
How long for?
Or are are you on the Kremlins special case list?

Don't know. But I managed to download all datasheets that I need for both work and restoration of Icom IC-1271 that I work on in free time. ;)
But I think Instagram and YouTube will go away soon. After effectively removing hate speech rules selectively about Russians, Meta will be not tolerated here anymore.

"Asymmetric Warfare" - Now Germany wants to facilitate asylum for Russians
welt.de/politik/deutschland/article237476345/Schutz-fuer-Putin-Gegner-Wie-Deutschland-Asyl-fuer-Russen-erleichtern-will.html
Preparations are underway in the ampel coalition to offer uncomplicated protection not only to Ukrainians but also to persecuted Russians in Germany. The main candidates are deserters, activists and critical journalists. It's about a new means of pressure against Putin. ........
So far, such "offers" to Russian regime critics have not been the focus of politics. Anyone who fears political persecution in Russia can travel to Germany and apply for asylum here. Whether he gets it is decided on a case-by-case basis. Anyone who is rejected must expect deportation back to Russia. But that could change soon. ....

These Russian trolls have no clue what a real soldier is
None of the trolls here that have never served knows what a real soldier is.
That psycho Putin
He is a sick in the head, Paulina.
Putin's string of irregular behavior has led to speculation on whether his health is as pristine as he lets on, with some theorizing that he may be suffering from Parkinson's Disease.
While there is no direct confirmation from any official source, there is reason to believe that Putin may have Parkinson's, according to sources close to the Russian leader and a theory shared by a registered nurse on TikTok.
TikTok user @musclesandnursing posted a video on Sunday, in which he analyzed Putin's mannerisms and found movements consistent with symptoms of both Parkinson's and dementia, as the two conditions are heavily linked.
What a nightmare to have TWO opposing presidents suffering with dementia that have nuclear weapons.
Both of them need to be removed immediately !

Putin is as fit as a fiddle - why only lasts year he scored 7 goals in a hockey game. The reason nobody has seen him for a while is because he is working on his bench press and cross fit

Vladimir Putin - Defender of Orthodox Christianity
How's that defence of Christianity going? Is Russia still the country with the highest abortion rate in the world?
What can you expect though with this Cyryl dude in charge...

... he said that Russian soldiers' actions are "the only right choice" and that "the special military operation has a metaphysical dimension to it", also he is pointing to gay parades as a reason of the war (if that's the case then Russia should rather bomb Berlin and New York). He is not only detached from objective reality but also detached from God and the Bible. With such man in charge of Russian Christianity no wonder Russian soldiers commit such atrocities.
However, in one aspect we have to agree with him - this war has a metaphysical dimension, a diabolical and satanic one. And no matter how much gold, how many crucifixes, and how many "holy outfits" he puts on himslef, we can still see the horns and the tail sticking out from underneath them.

It is very good he said it. Russian Orthodox Church had had a lot of followers in Ukraine before the war, even among common Ukrainians who didn`t consider themselves Russian. Now they are going to switch to the Ukrainian Church at last.

Indeed.
In any case, all they can do now is watching the consequences of their actions while enjoying a tasty meal from Russian McDonalds...

I have never seen all the Poles of this forum so happy and energized as during this war. Friends, I'm happy for you - but remember we are only in the third week of this war. It took the Americans more than month to reach Baghdad.

Support for Ukraine against Russian aggression is the closest thing I've ever seen in Poland to a non-partisan issue. The only people in Poland on Russia's side are the proto-nazis who want to return Poland to the status of Russian vassal state...
took the Americans more than month to reach Baghdad
Didn't they take a much, much longer route, landing at Basra (IIRC)? How far is Kyiv from the border? The Putinistas were assuming that Kyiv would fall in a couple of days (or even hours). But they also assumed that Ukrainians want to be Russians... so.....
What do you think the end game is? Any part of Ukraine under Russian rule would be subject to the same sanctions as the rest of the country and would be big pile of rubble (and a money pit for a country soon to be without money...)
How does this make any sense?
Bobko
12 Mar 2022 #4830
@mafketis
Precisely, it would make very little sense. Just as it was in 2014.
In 2014 the West inexplicably imposed the heaviest sanctions on the separatist republics in the Donbass and on annexed Crimea. The sanctions on Russia itself were comparatively light. In effect, the people punished were yesterday's Ukrainians.
Now, if Russia manages an occupation of Ukraine, taking control of key border crossing points with EU - the West (presuming the sanctions are not lifted) will be harming the very people they profess to defend. It is anyones guess how this will affect the sentiments of the local population over the long run.
RE: IRAQ
I think the difference there was the Americans were not operating under any illusion of a friendly welcome and did "war" in the traditional sense. They pounded the Iraqi army and the country's infrastructure into oblivion, before finally advancing through a scorched land.
It's necessary to add that this was a war that was ultimately predicated on a false premise, resulted in the deaths of 100,000s of innocent civilians, gifted the Middle East the phenomenon of ISIS, and destroyed a country's hope of benefiting from its enormous natural resources during a period of extraordinarily high energy prices.
Strangely enough, the country at fault prospered, did not have sanctions imposed on it, and nobody in the "White" world called them "savages" or "beasts" or "horde". Of course brown and black people around the world noticed, which is why none of them applied any sanctions to Russia. If you are curious, look at a map of who sanctioned Russia. It's all of yesterday's most famous colonizing rapists and explorers.
