Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

Novichok

It is a country of criminals and corruption.

The subject is Russia, not the US.

In Belgrade is currently underway a motorcade, in the center of the city people are waving Serbian & Russian flags and have come out for the second time for a pro-Russia rally in support of President Putin, the Russian army and the Russian people.

it has taken a step back in its economy that will take 5-10 years to mend

Not if they keep occupying Ukraine....then the sanctions will stay in place.....and they will earn less and less as more and more countries get independent from russian ressources...the longer that lasts the worse the situation in Russia will become.

You must be looking in the mirror. A Russian supporter who is in the US when he shouldn't be. You should be deported.

Stop pointing fingers and get to work.

Ummm... We're not the ones that got $250B from daddy France and mommy Germany. You will laugh, but this is exactly what we have been trying to do, only pointing out those instances where the rules of the game are so skewed that the only reasonable explanation is anti-Russian sentiment.

After WW2 we got diddly squat from the Marshall Plan, even though we had the most destroyed economy. Ok, fine - we understand - Russians must be contained. We will collect our reparations "in kind". We rebuilt ourselves after the war with zero help from anybody.

After 1991, we similarly got squat. Ok, fine - Russia must be contained. Thank god the natural bounty of Russia could provide the sorely needed foreign capital we needed to reform and grow.

You will laugh - but it is actually Putin's platform, more or less defined in a few words - that Russians need to keep their head and down and work because no help will come from abroad. He just feels that even this we cannot do, while ignoring what you're doing in our backyard. Ukraine is existentially important to Russia. There is no price you can put on it.

There is no price you can put on it.

You can learn to live without it....believe me!

If the russian minority there is your anchor, the Ukrainians should do what the Poles did after the war with the Germans....expelling them, to end that problem!

Maybe there is no other way....

In other news:

Russia cannot use $300 billion in financial reserves

spiegel.de/ausland/russland-ukraine-news-am-sonntag-russische-ingenieure-inspizieren-beschossenes-kernkraftwerk-saporischschja-a-cfc0e7da-82f2-4dd5-8261-41dd9de3511e

Because of the war against Ukraine, Russia is getting no money. Western sanctions are affecting the country's financial reserves. And: 440 tons of food donations are delivered from Germany to the Ukraine. the news ...

Na also....

It might be existentially important to Russia but the fact is that the people who live there don't want to live like Russians. They don't want your sprats, your acorn coffee bad bureaucracy and broken two stroke Lada cars.

As for aid from the west, Russia got plenty in the 1990s and 2000s and it ended up in the normal places - Nicosia and London.

@Bobko
Thats the thing, you have never built yourselves in the eyes of anyone with any economic background. It has always been corrupt and criminal. You havent reformed, Putin is your biggest criminal robbing the people blind. Oligarchs are second. Your gangs are third. Please spare us the history lessons and crying over the past.

Anyone remember a wall being built? Must be that the west built that too? Shooting people who wanted to leave? Of course that was the west too.

Existentially important? How about realistic living of the Russian people. Your poor are lower than dirt farmers. Your middle class is being squeezed by all the sanctions first and they will soon be poor. The wealthy will never be trusted internationally again. We dont GAF about your existential beliefs, we care about truth and real actions, and truthfully you are a country of criminals and your actions prove it.

Instagram has gone now.

You continue to be more and more isolated.

Not good for intelligent Russians with a more global perspective.

we got diddly squat from the Marshall Plan

Whose fault was that?

history.com/this-day-in-history/soviet-union-rejects-marshall-plan-assistance

Ukraine is existentially important to Russia

Galeev agrees, he says the invasion is meant to intimidate Russians rather than accomplish anything in Ukraine (beyond wanton destruction).

Poland - a double welfare bum getting goodies from the EU and the US - preaching. You can't make this sh*it up, as we say.

Instagram has gone now.

Good. Many kids here would be a lot healthier and saner if all social media went out of the addiction business.

A Russian supporter who is in the US when he shouldn't be.

I am a mirror and I stand guard on the yellow brick road to the high moral ground. Also a bullsh*it detector. No, I don't support any corrupt swamp, Russian or American.

And you are happy to see poor, ordinary Russians suffer for your "ideals" whilst you cheat by living the high life in NYC?
What a hypocrite!
I care more for ordinary Russians than you do!

Instagram has gone now.

Oh, no! Not Instagram! Nooooo... that's horribile. Simply inhumane! Whatever next? Subway bars? Foreign cinema chains movie theatres? I see this sh*t is getting serious now!

Maybe if Russians kill even more women and children then they will have to say goodbye to PizzaHut permanently?

Are you people f*cking serious? Don't you see what's happening? Are you really that blind?

The West is so scared and impotent that they haven't even imposed proper economic sanctions:

- where is the full SWIFT ban?
- why is the EU still buying Russian oil and gas? why are they still paying for Russian bombs falling on Ukraine?
- why is the putinist politicians' and oligarchs' devil's spawn still allowed to live, study and spend money in the West?
- why are the puti-nazi "diplomats" still in their warm and cosy embassies in the West - laughing their a*ses of?
- why are all the trucks with European goods rolling from Germany and France to Russia through Poland?

Are you f*cking kidding me? xD

Putin made a huge gamble on West being a bunch of plastic cowards and he is so winning the bet.

Ukraine is gone - they just don't know it yet. Poor, brave Ukrainians.
Moldavia is gone - they just don't know it yet.
The Baltics are gone - they just don't know it yet.
Poland will put up a good fight, like Ukraine, but we are gone - we just don't know it yet.

You think the West is going to "push back"? You think NATO will answer with military might? You better think again. It is the 18th day of war and they haven't even imposed proper economic sanctions.

Poor, brave Ukrainians - so much heroism and bravery for nothing. They should have known better... they should study history more... poor, brave Ukrainians.

This is called Salami tactics. If you don't stop them after the first slice, then why stop after the second? Why stop with the third or the fourth? It's only a small slice, right?

I wouldn't worry too much about Germany though - Putin doesn't see it as either a part of "Russkij Mir" or his sphere of influence. He will be quite happy to stop at the Oder River.

And guess what the West will do? You're a smart guy.

- where is the full SWIFT ban? Full ban took place yesterday
- why is the EU still buying Russian oil and gas? why are they still paying for Russian bombs falling on Ukraine?Blame the countries that are buying it, not all are

- why is the putinist politicians' and oligarchs' devil's spawn still allowed to live, study and spend money in the West? They are only spending the cash they were able to get out of the banks. They have nothing else and it will run out eventually

- why are the puti-nazi "diplomats" still in their warm and cosy embassies in the West - laughing their a*ses of?Great question. They should be expelled.

- why are all the trucks with European goods rolling from Germany and France to Russia through Poland?Another good question because goods are getting to Belarus via trucks still.

Oh, no! Not Instagram!

You totally miss the point.
It is all about the cumulative effect and making Russians wake up to what is happening.

As for the rest of your post, you vastly underestimate the west and NATO.
They are trying to avoid WW3 at all costs, understandably.
But if Russia oversteps the mark they will be hit by the full ferocity of NATO forces and as we have seen already, the Russian military are so weak that they will crumble.

It may be bloody on both sides, but it is the best chance of establishing democracy in Russia and peace and unity across Europe.

It will also shut those yapping little dogs in Serbia up.

Russian propagandists talk about how great it would be to fvkk up the whole world....

twitter.com/InformNapalm/status/1502748428543172614

w/subtitles

Is that what 'getting off their knees' means to them?

I'm told that Russian media has been delivering this type of stuff for 20 years non-stop....

Why should any country ever trust Russia again?

Novichok

establishing democracy

Democracy or "democracy"? For reference, "democracy" is a political system where one person can shut down the country. See Australia.

This is called Salami tactics.

Only if it's successful!

There is no way Ukraine will in any way become a success for Putin....it will be his downfall.

It will also shut those yapping little dogs in Serbia up.

Serbia will not become a member of the West anytime soon....neither EU nor NATO.....with their behaviour they just blew all their chances!

GefreiterKania

- where is the full SWIFT ban? Full ban took place yesterday

That would be great news! Any links, please? So far I only read about the laughable partial ban.

But if Russia oversteps the mark

What is "the mark" exactly, Milo? It evidently wasn't Georgia - an independent, pro-Western country. It evidently isn't Ukraine. Will the West risk nuclear war over the Baltics (or the micro-Balts, as our lovely Russian friends here like to call them)? Or over poor Moldavia? Or constantly troublesome Poland?

Do me a favour, guys... don't hold your breath while you wait for the West to do something substantial.

no way Ukraine will in any way become a success for Putin....

What's Germany doing to help assure that?

ALERT! Kamil Galeev (the best writer on Putin's Russia I've found) has just started a thread on how to defeat Putin.... it will probably take most of the evening....

I personally think it is doubtful our gov can withstand the calls for an energy boycott for much longer.....

I remember the same line after Crimea.

Really! I don't....

I remember the situation back then quite differently....with Germany's help the West was very willing to accept Putin's claim....there were no sanctions, NordStream 2 was being build....everything was peachy!

Now compare!

It is the 18th day of war and they haven't even imposed proper economic sanctions.

Cut down in this silliness. What is wrong with you? It seems you are very unstable emotionally. One day you are normal, the other become a Putin troll who sows ferment and defetism. :):)

poor, brave Ukrainians.

Ukrainians are fighting on and shall eventually get rid of RuSS-Asian savages from their territory. It would be good if unstable mentals didn`t obstruct them. :):):)

What is "the mark" exactly, Milo?

Oh come on!
Do I really need to answer that question to a poster that seems to be quite intelligent?

Ok, an attack on a NATO member is what will trigger WW3.

PolAmKrakow

@GefreiterKania
foreignbrief.com/daily-news/seven-russian-banks-removed-from-swift/

Crimea was a Ukraine problem. Donetsk and Luhansk were largely their own problem as well. It really should have been Ukraine who worked those problems out with Russia and no one else. Now though, a full invasion under the Russian flag and not some quasi Russian military is a different matter. Ukraine is not Russian, and its clear they dont want to be. Now if they wanted to be, all of Ukraine could vote for it and make it happen, but they didn't. So now we have the dance. Russia needs to be very careful, they underestimated the NATO response to help Ukraine and if they over step into a NATO nation, I believe NATO will go in.

After WW2 we got diddly squat from the Marshall Plan, even though we had the most destroyed economy.

You got nothing coz Stalin decided to put up the Iron Curtain across Europe and began the confrontation with the West.

You can Stalin thank for that, he broke all the agreements he made with the West, e.g. regarding Poland's democratic development.
