Ukraine got rid of nukes in exchange that RU respected its borders (...) Ukraine should be free to get nukes
I have a better idea. When it all ends, with now inevitable humiliation of Russian freak circus show that they call their army, and Russia is forced to make a deal with the West, begging for at least some sanctions to be lifted, we need to offer a fair deal to them: they will have to get rid of all their nukes and in return NATO will guarantee to respect Russian borders. That's
the first point of the future peace agreement.
The second point: what is now known as Russia will be divided in three parts (like nazi Germany was divided after WW2): Muscovy, The Siberian Republic and Greater Mongolia. Of course certain measure of cooperation between the three parts will be allowed, but they will have separate capitals, governments and armies.
The third point: full monopoly on extracting Russian gas and oil will be granted to companies from the largest European NATO country bordering Russia.
The fourth point: Kaliningrad district will be demilitarised (and preferably denazified too), turned into a big museum/theme park of Soviet/Russian crimes and open to tourists.
These are the starting points for the coming peace talks. Am I being too lenient? Any other proposals we should think of?
