Seems like Belgrad is also slowly realizing that an alliance with Russia will have little worth in the future. The only thing that made Russia noteworthy was the faint of hope of aid in the reconquest of Kovsoo and Bosnia. Now it looks like Russian agression will be checked in the Ukraine. NATO is rearming in the form of the European powers who have made it clear that they won't allow any violent redrawel of borders. There won't be any future arms transports from Russia to Serbia and an impoverished Russia won't have anything else to offer. If the EU plays its' cards right and offers the right incencitives, then we might actually see the recognition of Kosovo by Serbia in this decade.

If only German would realize that (and a bit quicker) we'd all be better off...

Russia threatens Bosnia-Herzegovina

Sanctions are implemented by all countries which deem themselves European. The majority of Serbian citizens consider themselves European, I suppose. That is why they think it is a right thing to punish RuSS-ASSian savages for all the war crimes they are committing in Ukraine.
