Actually the reasons are related to strong opposition to Russia in 2014 and the fact that it had become on the most successful Ukrainian cities. Putin doesn't care about NATO so much but a more functional Ukraine is a threat to his power....

Ukraine does not have a century or more long history of continuing to murder innocents. That's a big difference between them and Russia. Russian hate is nearly universal, in Europe and the USA.

I am not from Ukraine, so I stay in Poland. I made sure to arm myself in case there is a spill over and in that case I will indeed pick off any Russian I see walking down my street. Please let me know when in modern history Ukraine invaded another country. I know Chicago very well. Its a $hi* hole city, and you're right, some area's are like Harlem used to be in the 70's and early 80's, or like LA when the gang wars were at their heights. Definitely agree with you there.
