While I would agree the Russians are not Nazi's in the traditional sense, they act like them in many ways. In many other ways they are more brutal and simply deserve no mercy in the field.

I would also agree wars can not be won like pre 1970 with a clear winner leaving the filed. Afghanistan and Iraq are bad examples as there really was no real drive for the citizens to save their own country. Kuwait war being an exception, the US clearly won this war, and the US can do no wrong in the eye's of Kuwait citizens.

This war will be different. There will be a decisive winner, and it will be Ukraine. Russia is a mere shadow of its reputation, and should no longer be feared by anyone. They can be beaten and all things considered, they are not even a competent military any longer.

Poland failed Hungary and Serbia. Officially, at least. First time in history ever that state of Poland did not coordinate itself with Serbs and Hungarians. No, not just failed. You beat me to it. One could also add: their Ladas are Renaults, their home-made tractors are Czech and their two main export goods are fossil fuels and mail order brides, but one doesn't want to be unnecessarily truculent.

To be fair, Russia does have some impressive high-culture (literature, music, ballet), breathtaking landscapes, beautiful language and tons of wasted potential, but all these things are overshadowed by their 19th-century-stuck politics and deeply ingrained mental serfdom of their general population.

If Poles don't have a good self image it's because of being subjugated by that corrupt Russian occupation. The same can be said for political corruption in the surrounding countries, Russian instigated obviously.

I don't know if anyone wrote about it already, but the meeting of Ministers of Defense of V4 group that was supposed to take place in Hungary won't happen because of Orban's behaviour in the face of Russian invasion on Ukraine - the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland decided to boycott the meeting. According to unofficial information it's pretty much the end of PiS' alliance with Orban:

Also, due to invasion of Ukraine there's a big increase in interest in shooting and military pro-defense courses in Poland:

In big cities around 45% of those participating in those courses are women.

At those courses you can learn what to do during an armed conflict, how to use a gun safely, how to help injured people during combat situation, etc.
