It's not 'our' law that matters. It's the law of how war crimes are prosecuted and The ICC can charge Russia's high command with war crimes and crimes against humanity without having to prove they ordered these crimes. That's how it works.

The commission of atrocities has to be linked with the chain of command in an upward direction - not easy to do in most cases (Milosevic is an example) BUT in the case of the Russian military it's very easy because the chain of command is a matter of public record and the Russian president is supreme commander of the Russian forces.

So that's the number over the course of seven years of conflict as a result of shelling from both forces.

You won't be able to find cases of the kind of brutal murders and rapes that have been taking place during the present war.

Masses of Ukrainian soldiers look very thin and in a bad mental state they have some strange movements. Who knows when he last saw the sun and ate something cooked, he would have gone mad even if it weren't for the war.
