They were sadly no longer in power when it truly mattered. Nobody could have convinced Germany before 2015 that gas pipelines had been part of its' succesful foreign policy of 45 years by then. Germany should have wised up after 2015, but the PiS really did everything to discredite Poland as a voice of reason that could have helped with this process.

It was the "special german way".....many were even proud of it....believe it or not!

People took to the streets in the millions regularly....so proud of their pacifism as the one and only way....the "Schwerter zu Pflugscharen" gave birth to "Wandel durch Handel".....looking down on other countries which wouldn't believe in it the same....everything military like Bundeswehr and NATO became something in the best case useless, in the worst case dangerous and guilty!

Commentators call it today "childish"! Not as in stupid like a child but more like as in "not having to take on any responsibilities"....a consequence of WWII....the big questions and the guarding/security were always done by others...so we could allow ourselves lotsa naivitè/stupidity/ignorance/arrogance...call it as you wish!

When Russia is gone, I mean really gone as we know it, probably 3 years or less out, what will these vile POS have to talk about then. The good old days? Which ones? The 1930's, 1940's, 1980's, 1990's or 2000's. When in each of those periods Russia was given the opportunity to evolve, and they simply could not. Putin, like the trolls here that support him have shown a complete lack of intelligence and foresight.

Putin in his invasion first wanted to remove the Nazi's. Then is was something about the Jew in office. Then it was about an existential threat. Now its about WMD. And all the while threatening that the expansion of NATO was the problem. Now threatening Sweden and Finland.

Results? Russia literally getting their @$$ kicked by Ukraine and showing the world the Russian military in a conventional war is nothing to be feared by NATO or any other country with a real prepared military. Showing Finland and Sweden they are better off with NATO and they will now join before the end of 2022. Finally showing that Putin, like Stalin is nothing more than a street punk who got lucky to be in the right place at the right time. There is no intelligence to this leader, and none of his hand picked military leaders are intelligent either.

It is proven time and again, that people with a lack of intelligence who are picked to lead, surround themselves with people who are even dumber in order to prop up their own views of their own intelligence. They do not follow the highly intelligent path of not being intimidated by other people who are smarter. They continue to kill off or chase off those who could make a difference because they are afraid of losing power. This is Russia, throughout history. Happy Gulag biatches.
