The most telling part of the way the war is being reported is the total absence of what Russia is saying. The reason: The Western liars by omission do not want us to know what is going on. Simple.

Instead, the daily feeding of the stupid with dead babies, damaged buildings, crying women, and Z. The fact that the negotiations are dead and why is not reported on American TV at all - most likely out of fear that Americans might actually agree with Putin, if only partially, and ask: how long are we going to be on the hook with another war that is not ours.

The main problem is with Z-hole who acts as if there is even a tiny chance he will ever be able to chase Russia out of Crimea and Donbas. It's zero and the a-hole knows it but still continues his fight to the last Ukrainian. I guess acknowledging reality does not provide enough drama for his hero status, a book, and a movie.

Before your stupid Russia-hating heads explode, answer this: What is the probability from 0 to 100% that one day soon Putin will say sorry, leave Ukraine, and make it the way it was in 2013. Here is a clue: Big, fat, fu*cking zero. Those many dead Russians make it even less likely than zero. So take it from here and play your war games accordingly. Or continue with your childish "RuSSia" insults and name-calling.

BTW, do you have any numbers on how many were raped in Berlin and how many did it with them for food and survival?

You obviously didn't read my previous post (see below). How many German women were raped after WWII. They estimate 200 American and French, 2 million by the Russian army. A good movie to watch is "Woman from Berlin". It's about German women being subject to mass rape by occupying Russian Army right after WWII.

Here read this: npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=106687768

For reference, see Poland's capitulation in October 1939. Good move to save lives.

And what did the Poles gain? Poland lost a higher percentage of people in WWII than any other country in the World. You either fight Novichok or you quietly go to the slaughter house. the Poles got slaughtered.

I absolutely agree that more people in the west need to know more of what Moscow is saying. then maybe they'll stop the negotation nonsense, Putin won't stop, he has to be stopped.

Russian dreams of empire will not end on their own, they have to be ended.

@mafketis, I couldn't agree more... I check CNN and BBC sites from time to time and I haven't noticed what level of insanity Russian propaganda has reached being reported.

Putin won't stop, he has to be stopped.

Exactly.

Latest good news. Remember the ship told to go 'f itself' on the first day of the war?

Said ship was 'Moskva' the flagship of the Russian black sea fleet.

Yesterday Zelenskyy revealed a commemorative stamp of the occassion.

twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1514219160473149445

Last night it was hit by a Ukrainian missile (or two....)

Russia confirms... something (apparently wanting to make it sound like an accident and all 500 men on board were.... 'evacuated'...).

Reports that it has sunk remain unconfirmed...

@Novichok
The odds that Russia will leave Ukraine are just as good as the odds that Russia will take Kiev you moron. Russia has done nothing but destabilize the area that they already had, and now, counter offensives are taking place. The only region that Ukraine does not have a chance to get is Crimea. Luhansk and Donetsk can not be held by Russia. They can only destroy enough there right now to allow them to temporarily hold it. That region will end up being the Russian West Bank and will constantly contested if Russia somehow thinks to hold it, and does not get it in some treaty.

You probably lost every game of chess you have ever played. You have no concept of strategy.

Russia is proving that technology, when in the hands of highly motivated soldiers can, and will defeat larger numbers of soldiers. When Ukraine gets planes, and I suspect they will, Russia will be pounded into submission. Putin will leave Ukraine, one way or another, he will leave. When the bodies become too much and he has issues at home, or when he just runs out of bodies to send to the meat processing plant, he will leave. You think your constant @$$ eating of Putin and Russia does something other than strengthen the resolve of people who hate Putin and Russia? Then you probably think that Pi$$ tastes like champagne.

In 2009, the then US ambassador to Moscow, Bill Burns, took a memorandum to the top of the US from the Kremlin, which basically said - NO means NO, if you start expanding to Ukraine, we will take all parts of Ukraine that are of strategic importance to Russia.

Thirteen years later, Russia is taking all parts of Ukraine that are of strategic importance to it.
With more or less difficulty, faster or slower ...
But there is no force that will stop Russia from taking everything and to even the meter that it intended.
And it's always been a Russian land anyway.

But there is no force that will stop Russia from taking everything and to even the meter that it intended.

Don't bet on it.

And it's always been a Russian land anyway.

Well it isn't according to the people living there or they wouldn't be fighting so fiercely. And Russia is making sure that they will be hating Russia for generations to come

Photo from a few days ago.

Looks like the thieves who stole 100 Polish T-72s from a storage site near Lublin transported the tanks eastward after the theft.

The Polish police has received some evidence and has promised to investigate the matter after the summer holidays.

Apparently you can not comprehend the facts that show Russia is losing the war. Yes. It is hard to face the truth when the truth is against you. This is a sign of needing mental health intervention. Putin also needs the same help.

@Bratwurst Boy
Shocking that such a theft took place. Unfortunately such an investigation will likely take quite some time given that the Police have to ensure order in our cities throughout the spring and summer. lmao

Ukraine's uninviting of President Frank-Walter Steinmeier as "somewhat irritating"

My new best guess. Ukraine doesn't trust him and is concerned he might spill his guts to the Russians afterwards, possibly transmitting vital Ukrainian intelligence...

Paulina
14 Apr 2022  #8330

@mafketis, such thought crossed my mind too...

Btw, I think that Duda shouldn't have invited Steinmeier in the first place without consulting it with Zelensky - then all this drama would be avoided.

On the other hand this drama shows how detached from reality Germans seem to be o_O
Apparently now they are butthurt that the rest of the presidents went to Kyiv without the German president and thus failed to show solidarity with Steinmeier:

wiadomosci.wp.pl/focus-po-policzku-od-zelenskiego-steinmeier-dostal-w-twarz-takze-od-dudy-6758052126415456a

Sure, because German "feels" are the most important thing right now... 🤦 And all of those presidents should show solidarity with a butthurt German politician and not with a country that has been invaded and it's people are being killed, raped, tortured and kidnapped... Jesus...

Sorry for the rant, but I just can't understand this, especially after Bucha, Irpin, etc.

Btw, yesterday it was the Day of the Remembrance of the Victims of the Katyń Massacre, so I'm guessing the date of the visit wasn't accidental for the Polish president and his presence in places like Irpin on this day was symbolic (and very fitting since history came full circle, unfortunately).

Na ja....it isn't as if Germany does nothing!

Germany is Ukraine's largest civilian bilateral donor

According to the latest OECD DAC figures, Germany is Ukraine's largest bilateral donor (with payments amounting to around 220 million US dollars (OECD official development assistance 2018-2019) - ahead of the United States with just under 200 million US dollars. In addition to this, Germany makes contributions through the EU (according to the OECD DAC, more than 400 million euro in 2018-2019, which is the largest amount contributed by any donor). Since 2014, Germany has provided a total of approximately 1.83 billion euro in bilateral support....

auswaertiges-amt.de/en/aussenpolitik/laenderinformationen/ukraine-node/ukraine-support/2510752

That's lotsa hard money....regularly...

Additionally now Germany pays the most into the EU-Ukraine-military-help-bucket...one quarter...

Additionally the billions for ukrainian refugees....

Na ja....it isn't as if Germany does nothing!

I know, but it was Germany that was enabling Putin the most for all those years with their Nord Streams and friendly relations with Putin and Ukrainians are paying for that now with their blood and a destroyed country, so they have a right to feel butthurt too. And are Germans giving all this money (which is peanuts in comparison to what Russia is getting for gas, etc.) to help Ukrainians, or for Steinmeier to get a handshake from Zelensky?

Ordinary Ukrainians think that they're fighting on their own on behalf of the rest of Europe. They are not wanted in NATO, they are not wanted in the EU, noone wants to give them any security guarantees or get into an official alliance with them. They gave up their nukes in exchange for guarantees of territorial integrity. And for what? They're fighting alone for their survival against a big monster Russia, while the rest of the world is watching. They're getting help, but it was being given rather slowly and reluctantly... and then Bucha, Irpin, etc. happened... So it had to come to such atrocities for the West to wake up a bit more... What else has to happen? I know that Zelensky can be rough and sometimes I was thinking that maybe he's going too far, but so far what he's been doing is working and you can see he's fighting for his country like a lion on the diplomatic front. If Zelensky and Ukrainians weren't such fighters noone would lift a finger to help them and that's the brutal truth.

According to this Polish article from April 12 Annalena Baerbock is in favour of Germany sending heavy weaponry to Ukraine:

Russia warned Finland and Sweden today that if they join NATO, Moscow will reinforce the Baltic Sea region, including by deploying nuclear weapons.
The threat came a day after Finnish officials suggested the country could request to join the 30-member military alliance within weeks and as Sweden mulled making a similar move.

What is taking Putin's cohorts so long to remove him before people in Russia start starving ?

GefreiterKania

Germany that was enabling Putin

This is of course true, but let's keep things in perspective. I can't help but feel that the avalanche on criticism that falls on German heads in recent weeks is only partially justified, and partially it serves as an element of internal anti-EU agenda of the government.

Yes, there was a certain degree of naivety on German part when dealing with Russia in recent years (to put it very mildly). Yes, their money made it possible for Putin to rebuild Russia's military might, and YES - they should have listened to us more attentively.

However, having said all that, let's not forget that for the past 35 years or so Germany was the most consistently pro-Polish country in the EU, and it is very unlikely that Poland would achieve such success as we did without the unwavering German support in economy and international politics. Of course, there were differences between us (although not as great as one might expect, considering historical factors), but one only has to look at import/export exchange between Poland and Germany, as well as at wide cooperation in practically every aspect of statehood: military, science, industry, education, farming - it was all discussed many times here and on ATP. Let's not forget all that because Putin managed to fool Germans into believing Russia's a civilised country. Many other nations were fooled as well.

Besides, they do seem to realise their mistake and admitted to it, so let's cut them some slack. We might need that €80 billion a year of projected German military budget when the sh*t hits the fan.

@Paulina
Excellent points and insight. Germany needs to step up again. They simply need to take the financial hit and walk from anything Russian.

Heavy weapons and planes need to get to Ukraine quickly. It is time to really go hard against Russia. Taking out the ship, and now a bridge that Russia intended to use to advance are examples of two major strikes that need to be just the beginning. Planes could end this thing pretty quickly. Imagine a few hitting that convoy and Russia would be in deep $h1T.
