GerMONEY on the wrong side of history once again.

What should they do to be on the right side?

U.S. troops could be headed to Romania and Poland, or possibly Bulgaria or Hungary.
No final decision has been made but the 5,000 troops have been told to be ready to move
The elites failed to depopulate significantly with Covid so a war with Russia will be much more effective this time around.

US troops should be headed to our border with Mexico. I am assuming that we still have what they call borders.
BTW, I wonder how big is the brick the US would **** if the USSR - and now Russia - moved thousands of troops to Canada and Mexico. Plus the stuff.

The American stupidy and hypocrisy have no bottom.

Ireland stands strong again !
Russia has notified Ireland of Russian naval exercises in international waters in the Irish Sea, Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Monday, adding that they were unwelcome.

"We don't have a power to prevent this happening but certainly I have made it clear to the Russian ambassador in Ireland that this is not welcome. This isn't a time to increase military activity and tension," Coveney said.

Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said on Monday, adding that they were unwelcome.

Now I know why I felt the earth tremble under my butt. It's Putin shaking in his boots...Yeah, that's it.
"Unwelcome"? Hahahahahahahaha...That's what I would expect from a leprechaun or Masha and the Bear telling Mr. Wolf to go away.

I can"t reconcile your.pride of holding an American passport with your.hatred of America.
There.Somebody had to say it.

It's OK with me. I can't stand these morons. It's like loving your kids and being embarrassed about how they turned out in spite of your best efforts. This is, of course, editorial and not about your family.

I could rant on this subject forever. In one sentence, I have no respect for those who lost the instinct of self-preservation. That includes Western Europe, too. That is why I admire Putin and even Xi. They, for all their faults, still place the tribe's survival above wokeness and political correctness.

We, the US, are finished. They sense it but - like the Jews getting on trains way back - they don't know the specifics. LA, NY, and London are a preview...

Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine ?
They're both foreign countries that don't care anything about the United States.
Ukraine is strategically irrelevant to the United States.
No rational person could defend a war with Russia over Ukraine.
Nobody thinks a war like that would make America safer or stronger or more prosperous.
China would be the only winner in such a war.
The United States should butt out and let Europe handle their own problems with their own blood.
I had to say it.

@johnny reb
Dean bang on JR. Ukraine in reality is nothing but cheap labor for Poland, and offers next to zero for the EU. Want to see a quick change? Let Putin offer the return to Poland those portions of Ukraine that are still largely Polish like Lviv and you will see some Polish Hawks turn into Doves over night.

On a kind of connected note the Russian Navy is planning to carry out military exercises in waters off the Irish coast within a few days from now. They're international waters but within Irish airspace and the Irish exclusive economic zone. This is not just deployment of Russian warships, but also the use of long-range anti-submarine aircraft and missile firing.Irish fishermen have announced their intention of taking their boats out in order to disrupt the Russians.

Hmm, either it is simple ignorance or intentional falsity on your part.

Let Putin offer the return to Poland

You are really insane! :):)

A new wave of the Vikings have arrived from the East. Nothing new for Ireland really ...

You are really insane! :):)

Indeed, what do we need them for? They (Ukrainians) will only be causing trouble just as they did between 1918 and 1939.

Sarcastic statements. And if Putin offered Lviv to Poland, this country would simply stay quiet and let it happen. You know that is exactly what would happen.

pawian
25 Jan 2022  #165

Sarcastic statements.

Which sell grim falsities, e.g, about still Polish Lviv. There are about 1% Polish residents in Lviv so how could it remain Polish in its large part?

I see you are playing Novi to step up dramatic effects. :):)

this country would simply stay quiet and let it happen

That`s why I said you are insane. :)

you will see at least 50% of the surnames are Polish in origin.

And you approached people with those Polish surnames (it was easy coz they were wearing personal identity placards on their chests ) and they told you they still dreamt of coming back to Poland. :):):) Funny.

"Polish Residents" is not what I said.

No, you didn`t use those words. You said: that are still largely Polish like Lviv. Now go back to your original thoughts (or at least intentions) and tell us what you meant. Coz people with Polish surnames isn`t enough. The US has a lot of people with English surnames but does it mean Americans want to be part of England again??? hahahaha

@pawian
I meant, as I said, Lviv, is still largely Polish in its roots, traditions, culture and food. I didn't have to approach anyone, they approached me. Why? Because one of the places I went to eat was owned by someone with my surname who recognized me from an event I was at earlier in the day. Those kinds of things take place all the time when you travel for business.

Thanks, now would you please answer when you were last physically there?

Can somebody explain why Russia should not copy the events of 2014? It worked for the West so maybe it will work for Russia.
If Russia decides to replay 2014 in reverse, why should anyone care? They did it in Crimea and the West is fine with that.

And if Putin offered Lviv to Poland

The offer has already been made. In the wake of the 2014 invasion Putin was publicly floating the idea of partitioning Ukraine, a bit to Hungary a larger bit to Poland and absorbing the rest into Russia. If he was saying this publicly you can imagine the non-public statements - and it was rejected.

Lwów/Lviv may have a lot of Polish last names but that doesn't mean they want to be part of Poland...

I meant, as I said, Lviv, is still largely Polish in its roots, traditions, culture and food

Aaah, that is much better. Without that, you sounded like a petty liar.
However, I would painlessly agree to roots and traditions. Culture and food are misleading. E..g. pierogis. Are they eaten in Lviv as a Polish dish or Ukrainian or Eastern Slavic in general??? :):):)

Besides, don`t forget about tourist industry!

you were last physically there?

In 1990s. That trip was enough to realise that Lviv had stopped being a Polish city after WW2. As for its roots.... You can say the same about a lot of Polish cities which once belonged to Germany. E..g, Wrocław - thousands of German roots there. Does it mean Vratislavians want to join Germany? :):):)

All in all, sorry, but you uttered a stupidity and hence this mockery now so you can only blame yourself. :):)

@pawian
You opinion is based on your own thoughts. Not conversations with people. I had conversations. And people openly expressed how great it would be to be part of Poland again. How much better their lives would be. I never said it represented the whole city. Those thoughts were openly expressed. As for Pierogi the one place I was eating, they were traditional Polish, not Ukraine which I also enjoy. The menu was in Polish, Ukraine and English, Polish being first.

As for some areas of Poland going back to Germany, Germany would only likely want a few. Gdansk and Wroclaw primarily and not much else. Those areas while still having signs in both languages, contain very few people of German heritage that I have met, surname being my identifier.

Your mockery? It is nothing more than a fly I ignore until it dies and I sweep it up.

You opinion is based on your own thoughts

Just like yours. You conversed with a few Ukrainians who, just like Poles, love complaining and criticising everything, and you drew too hasty and far reaching conclusions. I am really surprised you revealed your infantile fantasies so openly here. :):)

I had conversations.

The problem is that you spoke to selected Ukrainians for a few hours, so it could be one dozen people. Be reasonable, for god`s sake - you can`t treat them as a serious representation of Lviv residents. While I speak to and contact Poles on everyday basis and in result I am able to comment on your words that they are BS.

I never said it represented the whole city.

Of course you didn`t say the whole but you implied 60-90%. Which was a lie.

Polish being first.

I already told you not to forget tourist industry in Lviv - it is heavily oriented for Polish trips.

Did anyone see Duda's address after the meeting (NATO, Biden etc) last night?

He seemed seriously spooked... his body language was off the charts for indicating nervousness and unease.... did anyone else notice?

pawian
25 Jan 2022  #174

his body language was off the charts for indicating nervousness and unease.

He is the constitutional army commander in Poland and as such has to participate in national security decision making with other political bodies. That means he will have to decide important matters or even meet Kaczyński whom he fears.

a fly I ignore

Funny.:):) I haven`t noticed that.

Again you make assumptions. This is to be expected from those needing further education. I spent days there, not just one evening. I have also frequented Lviv, but you also do not take that into account in your assumptions. But of course make all the assumptions you want.

pawian
25 Jan 2022  #176

Again you make assumptions.

No, I live in Poland and contact Poles and hardly anybody mentions such topics. So, your suggestions about Poles jumping at a chance to receive Lviv from Putin`s hands were infantile fantasies.

It is you who make them after a few drinking conversations with a dozen drunk Ukrainians.

But of course make all the assumptions you want.

It seems that the only person who is happily following your advice is yourself. hahahaha

I have also frequented Lviv, but you also do not take that into account in your assumptions

How can I take it and you into a serious account if you are displaying such irrationality in judgment? :):) It is obvious you've mistaken the stars reflected on the surface of the lake at night for the heavens.

Germany would only likely want a few. Gdansk and Wroclaw primarily

I see. One of those Germans is our BB!! I always knew it - that double agent is infiltrating the forum to influence the positive opinion about the future transfer of Wrocław back into German hands!

You need serious help.

@mafketis
The offer may have been rejected publicly, but come on, its the PiS show right now and they are all about returning everything Polish to Poland. You can not tell me that JK would not be salivating over such an opportunity. Privately of course, but his ego would not be able to ignore that opportunity.
