Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades

Geopolitics aside, at the street level, the difference between the Russians and the Ukrainians could not be starker. I mean how they feel as aggressors and as defenders. That war will soon morph into another unwinnable "police action". See Afghanistan and how the world's number one superpower got defeated by the smelly guys who still don't know what toilet paper is.

Maybe Putin knows history a little better than you? From Day 1 he said no occupation of Ukraine. Yesterday, orders were repeated to Russian soldiers to not remove Ukrainian flags. Only LNR/DNR forces have the right to remove flags from city administration buildings, and only within administrative borders of Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts. All the people on this thread drooling at the mouth at the idea of a meat grinder in Ukrainian cities should relax.

Ukraine will be demilitarized. Any future supplies of weapons from NATO will be destroyed in transit or in storage just as Israel destroys Iranian shipments in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, without any regard for those countries' sovereignty. Anything that will continue to happen inside Ukrainian circus will be NATO problem and Russia will not care.

Well...the moment his troops left Ukraine will most probably vote for and become a member of NATO and maybe even EU....

Tell me again who won?

Thankfully voting to join NATO and EU is not enough to join those organizations. However, I can easily imagine NATO and EU being stupid enough to accept them. In this case, it would be wise to start revisiting your civil defense manuals and buy yourself a Geiger meter.

Trust me! Putin's invasion is truly a "Zeitenwende".....till a week back Germany was a big voice against taking Ukraine in....not wanting to "disturb" Putin....that has all changed now....Ukraines chances to be welcomed in have never been better!

Old principles have been thrown in the bin...to be considerate of Putin's Russia is one of them!

Nobody hear can imagine to still listen to one word coming out of Putin's mouth...he has become "the liar" here...nobody cares anymore what he says or wishes...

If a war in Europe is not enough to wake Europe up to the need to compromise, it may be that nuclear weapons become the last argument.

Even if they joined, would the US bring its troops in? Putin put everything he has on the table so I just don't see that as a possibility. Without the US in Ukraine, it's just a piece of paper.

I told you - they are mongols. They can never win a conventional war with NATO and nobody can "win" a nuclear war, so these are just empty threats.

It was interesting as Scholz, in his already quite historic speech today, shortly also talked about his meeting with Putin recently, only a few days back, and he reported how Putin lied directly into his face and promised him there would be no war!
