Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

The Speaker of Hungary's National Assembly says Zelensky has mental problems. Haha!

444.hu/2022/06/04/kover-laszlo-szerint-zelenszkij-elnoknek-psziches-problemaja-van

Google is providing a pretty rough translation, and I don't know Hungarian... Nonetheless, I tried to clean up the machine translation with what makes sense contextually:

"As long as I have studied and paid attention to the events of world politics (...), I can't remember a case where the leader of a troubled country, one that is in need, would find it necessary to adopt an aggressive tone against those that assist them. Someone like President Zelensky (...) who not only spoke out against Hungary, but even insulted the German chancellor. Usually (...) one that needs help, asks for it politely, of course persistently, but always only to ask, never to demand and certainly not to threaten. A man usually threatens his enemies, and rarely those whom he wants to win as a friend.

There's a personal, and psychological problem here, that I don't quite know what to do with myself, "

Ukraine's Office of the President has responded this morning, with a pretty nasty insult for the speaker himself, and a reminder that Hungary participated in atrocities in Ukraine in WW2 - for good measure.

Looks like Hungarians and Ukrainians won't be friends any time soon.

And Vladolf Putler doesn't?

I can think of an answer to the question.

When you see those TV pundits are on Putin's payroll then you see the absurdity of Scholtz and Macron and Hungary saying we should be prepared to deal with them after the war. And that they shouldn't be humiliated

The wedge Putin has driven between PiS and Hungary is one of the few good outcomes of this war- there seem to be a good number of Russophiles in Budapest and I don't think it is only anout oil

You don't agree with him, however, that it's a strange look to be threatening people to help you, or else?

This is what happened last week when Ukrainian officials were musing "out loud" that it would be a pity if something happened to the oil and gas pipelines transiting Ukraine into Hungary.

Also Ukrainians in all levels of government have been making noises about how the EU should eject Hungary (for the oil embargo business) and that NATO should eject Turkey (for Finland/Sweden business).

Seems the Ukrainians would have made for a very boisterous EU and NATO member. They're not even in yet, but they already have so many opinions. Sure you need that? Is having Poland and Hungary not fun enough? At least get that rule of law mechanism in place before you let them in, or you'll see a little cartel of Eastern European malcontents forming that will block every good thing coming out of the EU. Might also require reforming the EU in such a way that a simple majority is enough for foreign policy related decisions.

It's sort of odd that on the 8th year of the war Ukraine continues to buy Russian oil and gas, and earns handsomely on its transit, while #canceling anyone else that wants to buy it.

Can you imagine Stalin buying petrol from Hitler in 1944? Can you imagine Stalin lodging complaints with Churchill and Roosevelt that Hitler is using petrol exports as a tool of foreign policy?

Looks like Hungarians and Ukrainians won't be friends any time soon.

Serbian geostrategy commentators says that Hungary and Slovakia preparing to enter Ukraine while Poland`s special forces are already on terrain in Galicia, even controlling civil defense of Lviv. Its expected Ukraine to collapse and there is real fear local Ukr nazis to attack on minorities. Not to speak that countries opt to re-take what they consider theirs. Problem is, as it is said, that Hungary`s and Slovakia`s aspirations somewhat overlap. Anyway, extraordinary situation already declared in Hungary.

Are there also fears of ice zombies and dragons? Cause those are just about as real...

@Crow Serbian strategy experts are retarded. No Poles in Ukraine, and no one going in to Ukraine. You need some mental health assistance.

Fear is of real big war in Europe and world, much bigger then WW2 or WW1.

@Crow Serbian strategy experts are retarded. No Poles in Ukraine,

You says Serbs don`t have information?

World policeman

Dude. If this ever comes to be that US is no longer world policeman and/or Russia+China would become one, I bet you'll be the one who suffers the most from it. Just remember words of wise polish man on internet forum when it comes to pass.

How in the name of good God? USA, side by side Vatican, Islamic league and Germany, took part in genocide operation against Serbs. You say Russia and China will also commit genocide on us? Even bigger one?

much bigger then WW2 or WW1.

Since when is Serbia afraid of starting wars?

You says Serbs don`t have information?

Serbs have plenty of information... it's just all wrong.

I just really hope you'll live your life armchair russian communist supporter and would never actually experience what russian/chineese liberation from evil west really looks like.

also commit genocide on us

"Genocide", you fuc*king wish. lol

They're a bunch of pussies with no stomach for proper genocide. For a bunch of "genocided" people, Serbs seem to be thriving.

Thankfully we don't need to wait to know what Western liberation looks like. In Russian we have a funny nickname for the Baltic states - ВЫМИРАТЫ, which is word play between Вымирание (extinction) and Эмираты (Emirates). So a kind of Extincterati :)

Interesting that Poland's population explodes under genocidal Soviets and flatlines under merciful EU. But it's ok, Poland will be fine thanks to fresh blood infusion from the East. First there was the Miracle on the Vistula, now it's the miracle of Ukrainian plumbers replacing Polish plumbers who emigrated before.

Baltic countries is at moment the closest thing that we have to classical liberalism. Neo marxists from frankfurt school are dominating most of USA and western world and in South America is no different, there are a lot of neo marxism in Brazil and in Argentina, Peronism dominates. Chile, which was saved by Pinochet now elected a Commie. This countries suffered a lot under the classical communism, I wanna them free from both forms of Tyranny. A tyranny which throws people in jail for calling a man, a man and a tyranny which throws people in jail for calling a war, a war.

A personal friend of mine is 3/4 Polish, got Polish citizenship by ancestry and now lives in Estonia. He talks about there as if is a paradise on Earth.

what Western liberation looks like

It is no surprise Poland have always wanted to pull Ukraine closer to the West and away from Russia. For reasons both romantic (Pilsudski's dream of an alliance/federation of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus as a recreation of the Commonwealth of Both Nations) and pragmatic (Russia deprived of Ukraine is merely a regional power, not a true empire). It may be considered self-serving, but at the same time Ukrainians would profit a lot from the deal, just as Poles profited from integration with the West.

Russia's aggression merely accelerated our efforts.

@Bobko
Tens of thousands of Poles left Poland as soon as Soviet Union lost the cold war. The longest largest war in history and the Soviets lost. When you have a loss of population base, largely of young child producing ages, definitely going to be a drop in population and population growth. But Russia just fixed that as all these nice Ukraine ladies have begun finding Polish men and getting pregnant. Just like Novi predicted they wont be leaving, and population growth will jump. Amazing the foresight Putin had to help Polands population decline. I take it all back he is a genius, now lets just whack him and be done.

One country is missing from that interesting population chart Bobko - irs a country with catastrophic population decline where the old have short and mean existences, the Middle Aged are too drunk to procreate and the young men are being sent to burn in old tanks before they have even had a chance to take their girlfriends to the cinema

One country is missing from that interesting population chart Bobko

Also the Baltics are missing. I'm attaching a separate chart below. Guess the chart above would be too depressing with them included. Although Bulgaria and Romania losing a third of their population is also scary - but hey - now they're Westerners!

Russia has a demographic situation that's much better than for most of the members of that chart - Poland included. So much for "CATASTROPHIC DECLINE". It actually returned to slight growth before Covid hit. The only reason the subject gets so much treatment in the press is because people actually want to read about Russia. How many articles a year can you publish about the fact that Latvia will soon disappear from the map? 2-3? You can write about Russia's demographic "collapse" daily because thousands of Poles and Ukrainians will automatically click on the article - they are genetically preprogrammed to do it.

Not reflected in the chart above is the 2.5 million Crimeans that were added back into the balance. Now there's potentially another 5-7 million that might replenish our demographic bank.

Many businesses will be hurt.

Had been hurt already. There is no need for government action to hurt even more of Polish businesses. Government is being unreasonable an overzelous in their actions. Some losses can't be helped that is ture but some are just right out stupid. It would hurt Poland more than Russia and government is proud of it!

People don't support that, they just been lied to by PiS about help provided for those businesss, which is not there.
The same with KPO, PiS government take all that nosense from EC and agree it that for some vauge promisses. PiS is just a pack of usless lunatick while so called oppostion could be able to run a lemoniade store. Damn we need sound people to run that country and fast.

population

Look at Russia's population and stop talking BS. Don't you have any real arguments apart of cheap propaganda?

he war Ukraine continues to buy Russian oil and gas

Not more that Russia continues to sell.

Bobko
5 Jun 2022  #4132

Not more that Russia continues to sell

What? Genuinely don't understand what you're saying. There is literally millions of barrels of oil and oil-equivalent being pumped through Ukraine every day - even as the artillery shells continue to explode around. A substantial part of Ukraine's budget is made up of the fees collected for this. This is not to say anything about the imports of Russian petroleum products for use within Ukraine.

Strange war. Strange times. Crazy that you can continue buying from the person that's killing you, but will forbid others that are trying to help you from doing the same.

Also, notice that the Baltic population chart above is historical. They already lost this much. This is not a projection out to 2050 like the very first chart I shared. Their depopulation is an already established fact. It is easy to have "a paradise on earth", as Korvinus said - when your city has half the inhabitants it used to have.

cms neuf
5 Jun 2022  #4133

Yes the Baltic's have a depopulation issue - what has that got to do with the price of sprats ? The people who still live there are much better off than their former CCCP brothers in Belarus and Russia

Some of their citizens have taken advantage of the possibilities of EU membership. Others have died or gone back to the 24 hour Sushi bars of Russia. Big deal - it's not a justification for illegal invasion and theft.

It actually returned to slight growth

Is this controlled for ethnicity? It's my understanding that the fertile populations are unpopular minorities (Asian, Caucasian, Cental Asian) all of which are over-represented in the attempted Ukrainian ethnocide....

There is even some speculation that Putin is trying to kill two birds with one stone - eliminate Ukrainian as a form of self-identification and kill off some unwanted non-Russian young men...

Korvinus
5 Jun 2022  #4135

It is easy to have "a paradise on earth"

Really?

Meanwhile in Russia: half of the population below 30 wants to emigrate.
Meanwhile in Russia: the only scientific development that happens there does so with momentum built up by the Soviet Union - and that is about to run out completely.

Meanwhile in Russia: resource based economy with dying out, obsolete industries and masses of half-dead alcoholics with 55 years of life expectancy.
Meanwhile in Russia: all that oil money spent on palaces of oligarchs.

mafketis

and yachts... don't forget the yachts...

And don't forget the necrophilic glorification of WWII because.... there's nothing wort celebrating after that. It's a culture degraded by the dinosaur social structures that come from an empire. It needs to be broken apart to achieve any kind of vitality....

I've found a channel on YouTube asking Russians about stuff in the street. I don't know how representative this is, I think it's most likely Moscow and the people interviewed seem to be rather the educated city people type. Still, it's interesting to see what people in Mordor think :)

1. In this video they ask Russians what they think about the prospect of Finland joining NATO. What's surprising is that a lot of them say that it's Finland's sovereign decision and many don't see much or any danger in a NATO base being set up in Finland (it's either in the first video or the second one - I don't remember) :

youtu.be/fvjJsFCHXtM

2. Should Russia start a "special operation" in Finland or Sweden? lol:

youtu.be/T8h0sUumHog

3. What do Russians think about the sanctions and the "special operation" after 3 months since the start of the invasion of Ukraine?:

youtu.be/dXYnP5gVwD4

4. What do young Russians think about Putin?:

youtu.be/HAmzPeDoE3Q

"For our generation he's a senile grandfather." lol

I like those young people ;) I wonder if they're some kind of hope for the future of Russia... That would be nice...

Russians about stuff in the street.

I've been aware of the channel for a while now.

Pretty sure that's just Moscow and/or St Pete and a _lot_ of the younger respondents have strong hipster vibes so definitely not in touch with the fascist babushkas and vatniks that make up Putin's base... or the armchair warlord zhopniks that support him here....

Poland is getting into the military complex. $
A contract for over 50 Krab howitzers worth around PLN 3 billion was signed in Kiev.
It is the largest export contract of the Polish armaments industry in years.
This should help Poland's falling economy a bit.
