All you Orban haters - remember that Hungary is #2 after Poland in receiving refugees. But... Poland has a population of almost 40M, while Hungary has only 10M. If they took 2.5M like you, they would get diluted by 25%.

What has been Hungary's reward for this kindness? Well - Ukraine threatened to cut off oil supplies, and called Orban a Kremlin stooge. They also insulted them by pointing out their history of collaborating with Hitler, and accused them of trying to annex Transcarpathia.

My ex-gf fought there (she was born in suburbs of Donetsk and left their career in Moscow to fight banderists once serious clashes started), so, I do not need to watch TV to get real information about history of this conflict. And I seen photos that will be not published even in Telegram. So, STFU and don't try to convince me to believe that you know anything better.

Even now, ukronazis shelling Donetsk and towns in suburbs from heavily fortified "nodes" like Avdyevka and Peski, using local civilians as "live shield" to avoid use of heavy weapons against their artillery positions. I doubt that DNR militia and russian troops will take any POW from there. And even if any will taken - DNR officials declared that grave military crimes will be punished by death penalty, and public hanging will be used for such kind... All names is known, both who issued orders to shell civilian residental areas, and who actually do it.

Yes, the West paradoxically placed most sanctions on these two areas in 2014, and not us. This, despite us allegedly being the main culprits. It was amusing and strange to watch the West punish yesterday's Ukrainians, for something that was apparently forced on them.

Now they will probably punish the population of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with draconian sanctions.

This logic only makes sense in diseased brain of Western policymakers. If the declared goal is reintegration of lost territories into Ukraine - very curious approach is used.

Russia has a brief window where they can still try to present a false front of military power and success in Ukraine (and it isn't a great false front since they are clearly making anemic progress and have had major battlefield setbacks like the defeats around Kyiv and later Kharkiv) to try to persuade the world to stop supporting Ukraine and to try to pressure Ukraine into a ceasefire so Russia can recover.

Seeing the western organizations and groups that have either bought into this propaganda push, or are even part of it, has been quite illuminating.

Not looking like it is going to be too successful though. America, Britain, and Eastern Europe are not backing down on support, and Ukraine's government is well aware of how tenuous Russia's position is, both now and in the long term, compared to theirs. So Ukraine is strongly and publicly pushing back on pressure from some westerners for them to seek a ceasefire at this moment.

Quite correctly. The western leaders who press on Ukraine to give up are in minority and are outvoted by the rest. Besides, they are playing a useful role as good policemen.
