Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

@gregy741
You are Fing delusional. The only real rise in costs that is excessive is gasoline. That could be cut as well if the government owned Orlen was not gouging citizens and experiencing record level profits. Everything else is negligible expense rising. Russia on the other hand is a disaster and the proof is all over YoouTube with current videos showing empty shelves, rising prices, and completely empty shopping malls. Try buying some brakes for your Mercedes, a TV from a leading Japanese manufacturer, or better yet, some cheese or beef. If you can find them, prices are doubled and tripled in some cases. Start doing some real research before spouting off.

bro. isnt gasoline need for transport? gas for energy? dont you need energy for electricity? dont producer need electricity to make product?ect.
all increase price of products ,since cost of production and transport rise. "only gasoline" lol

then why were prices two times those found in Poland?

nobody is denying that Russia economy got hit with sanctions. and euro economy got hit too
but russia problem is related to acquisition of reserves and cutting supply .its short term shock.not structural problem. russia economy wont collapse because citizens cant import BMW OR I PHONES.

as for Europe, its big long term problem. you cant sustain competitive industry without access to cheap energy and resources.
sure ,you can get gas from different sources but its expensive.
soon all industry run away to India.

which means... really bad inflation

For vegetables it means beginning of summer, where stock of local production of previous year is come to end and more expensive imported products appear on shelves of supermarkets. I looked at beginning of your video - and camera usually stopped at a bit overpriced positions. At least today I purchased tomatoes from Azerbaijan at 90 rub/kg in Auchan, not at 234 as shown in the video. I'm sure that there was way cheaper offers, but camera runned away pretty fast and out of focus to another "island of high prices" ;) Potato at 159 rub/kg is crazyness. In fact it was egyptian sweet batat, some gourmet specialty. 52 rub/kg for ordinary potatos is also overkill, in Auchan more expensive selected and washed potatos is 54.49 rub/kilo, and quality is way higher.

Perekrestok, Victoria and some other chains is not cheap places here anyway. And many people prefer Metro (but not for vegetables - it is even more expensive there compared to Perekrestok), Auchan and other large retailer with way more democratic prices and ability to order online and get it delivered to the door in 1.5-2 hours. Like me, I ordered at 5 am and received my bags in 7 am. You can look current prices at sbermarket.ru - operator of delivery from a lot of large stores, no need to spend time to look some semi-staged youtube videos.

So, someone trying to tell you truth, but not all truth, comparing prices of local season potatos at autumn sales with beginning of June while local products is still growing and fresh vegetables is mostly imported.

Better the public purse do it than private business

The pain of sanctions has barely started to hit russia.

Even knowing stuff like this suggests vulnerability. In the west we just go to the shop and it is all there.

And price increases for other items have been negligible. A zloty here or there is not going to break Poles. Wages have risen faster than inflation in many cases. I have an open position in on company with minimal labor and no education needed for 20 pln per hour, plus some other benefits, and I can not fill it. Wages rising at a torrid pace in Poland. But you wouldnt know that since you are not here or from here.

Here as well. Same vulnerability as in US or Poland. If you want watermellon in January - it will be from southern hemisphere, expensive as hell, but for those who REALLY want it - it is always on the shelf. And in July/August here will be street markets all around with perfect season watermellons from Astrakhan region, dirt cheap.

If someone still does not believe that the Russians liberated Svyatogorsk, they may be convinced by a video from Pegov (WarGonzo).

Luhansk Front - Russian forces captured Severodonetsk Airport; Fighting at north of Borivske
Izyum Front - Russian forces captured Tetyanivka
Southern Front - Russian Forces captured Velyke Artakove and Bila Krynytsya

independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/ukraine-war-intelligence-russia-kyiv-military-b2096715.html

Things are worse for the Ukrainians than I even dared to imagine. Wonder where the Independent is getting this info?

Just earlier today I read an article in the times about how there was a distinct information asymmetry when it came to how much Western intelligence knows about the state of affairs in the Russian and Ukrainian militaries. They know much, much more about how the Russians are doing than they do about the Ukrainians. Partially because you spy on enemies more than on allies, but also because Ukraine has not been very open kimono.

Even in the most high level meetings, Ukrainians are reticent about sharing candid assessments of their losses and difficulties. So that's why I'm curious where the independent got this bombshell of a report.

Not that much difference in the west.

Such a contrast to russia with limited supplies, constant propaganda and a kleptocratic economy.

According to him, the big annual call in show in June has been "delayed" because Putin is too sick and not up to a 4 hour appearance...

You have mistakenly swapped the names.

Btw, could you explain why Crna Gora closed its airspace to the Russian satanist foreign minister Lavrov?

A clear message to all foreigners who want to come and kill Russians.

A message also to the Anglos that they can hang their "exceptionalism" on the cat's tail.

A clear message to all foreigners

Russia committing another war crime is not exactly clever. What does Russia theoretically gain? Discouraging foreign volunteers? We'll see if it has that effect, as abuses and warcrimes have historically more often stiffened resolve than breaking resolve.

At what cost? Making any kind of post war reconciliation with the West even harder, although maybe they have already committed so many war crimes that a few more like this thrown on top won't change anything. They also specifically put their POWs in further danger, as a cornerstone of the fair treatment of POWs is reciprocity. If Russia actually executes POWs from trumped-up false charges and coerced "confessions" then that give Ukraine a pretty free hand to harshly deal with POWs.

@GefreiterKania

We have some very powerful leverage over Scholz, indeed. It's called - concern for the well-being and prosperity of the German people. It is incredible what can be achieved, when this instrument of influence is exploited.

Hungarians also seem to have a Vulcan-level iron logic of self-interest.

Poles, well, we know who they are. What leverage can you have over a poet?

GefreiterKania
9 Jun 2022  #4468

concern for the well-being and prosperity of the German people

Hmm... Russia's war against Ukraine bought Poland about 5-6 years of preparations for the war. Poland will exhaust Russia for another 7-8 years, so Scholz (if he is not a Russian agent) probably calculated that he will no longer be in office when the sh*t hits the fan for Germany. Smart... or is it?

Hungarians

Huge disappointment. We took them for fellow poets but they turned out to be small-town shopkeepers.
