I also read this article in Ukrainskaya Pravda and was just blown away. The poor journalist that wrote it got so much hate from butthurt Ukrainians in the tone of: "Why publish this now?", "Are all orcs white and fluffy now?", "UP - Kremlin Outlet". The Harvard-educated editor in chief responded with her own editorial the next day, defending her journalist - and saying that the way Ukraine will win is by being honest even when it's not politically expedient. Seems she did not get the memo that the entire modus operandi of the Zelensky regime is "fake it until you make it". What else would you expect from a team of former entertainers?

One of the editor's main arguments was that this situation was a ticking time bomb. Numerous western journalists that had been unable to corroborate all the baby rape stories were reaching out to her privately with their concerns. She feared there could be a wider backlash in Western media that would result in Ukraine losing public support. So like a good liberal, she decided to get ahead of the problem and show that Ukrainians can clean their own house.

Let's see if it worked.
