Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Korvinus

How else do you justify 700 big ones or 40% of the world's total spent on arms

Yep. Capitalism is about exploitation, lets ignore that till recently each generation of workers where more prosperous than the previous one. We all know that the guy from the book Escape from Camp 14 is free, but a worker making US$70k+ in USA is exploited.

If Putin would say that all the money paid for Russian resources during last 20 years when he was in power was spent on developing Russia - even most rabid vatniks would not believe it.

But if he would say that it was all spent on modern military equipment - which sadly was destroyed by Zelensky NATO Nazi robot wunderwaffe - that's another thing.

It goes without saying that there will be no money in Russia for stupid sh*it like infrastructure, roads or schools in foreseeable future.

I feel sorry for the people in Ukraine. After denazification and demilitarization, it will be a proud nation that will be ashamed of this episode from its own history.

In less than 5 months Russia has seized a territory larger than the size of england while using less than 20% of its military force and suffering 10 times less casualties than the NATO-equipped defender who dug in for 8 years.

Happy 4th of July, Joe Biden

will be ashamed

3k Azovites VS almost 30K Russians with their city completely surrounded and bombarded every single day. They lasted 3 months. Now, if the situation inverted, Russians would surrender in a day.

Lies, lies, lies. Not 20% but 45% and not 10 times less but 3 times more.

Happy 4th of July

Happy gulag, RuSSists! (licentia poetica by Polam) haha

3k Azovites VS almost 30K Russians

no 3k. almost 4k got captured.4k dead . there were more than 20k ukra fighting in Mariupol
as for the Russians. entire Russian army pulled out of Mariupol, after securing civilian areas. leaving only DNR and kadyrowski units to deal with azovstal.

there was no more than 20k rus forces taking part in the whole operation.
dont talk rubbish out of your ignorance.

the people in Ukraine. After denazification and demilitarization

they'll be muslims?

What's going on with gazprom?

The fifth mysterious death of a high-ranking Russian managers linked to Gazprom in 2022.... Yuri Voronov, was found with a bullet wound in head.

Great question!

I would guess that some Russian business men are turning against Putin and he is knocking them off.

Changing diapers and helping in the kitchen never looked so good...Quoting rt.com:

Over the past 10 days 170 foreign mercenaries have been killed in Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said

That's the title. Now some comments:

Put their heads on sticks at the main square in Donetsk and turn the rest into compost.

Russia should call this: Operation Cockroach Extermination (OCE). Foreign mercenaries are like an infestation.

I wonder if there is a dumber reason to die for...

Great work Putin....lets see how your other plans pan out.

I know of only one ...no NATO in Ukraine.

Bratwurst Boy
5 Jul 2022  #6494

For what are all these people dying now? There was no NATO in Ukraine...

Novichok
5 Jul 2022  #6495

For the same reason why the Soviets and the Americans were dying in Germany in 1945. There were no Germans in the USSR or the US in 1945.

My best guess is to be sure. Being sure is better than not being sure.

Bratwurst Boy
5 Jul 2022  #6496

For the same reason

Nun ja.....using that analogy would mean Putin going to war with NATO to end NATO and all countries and governments which (?) make this alliance up.

This was the reason for Soviets and Americans dying in Germany 1945, to end the Third Reich, to end Hitler and the Nazis....

Putin has no chance to end NATO!

(Is "which" correct grammar in this sentence?)

Novichok
6 Jul 2022  #6497

.using that analogy would mean Putin going to war with NATO to end NATO

No. The Soviets continued on to Germany to be sure that things in Germany will be the way the Soviets wanted them to be.
The same with Ukraine and Russia. Russia didn't like the way Ukraine behaved so Russia went to Ukraine to make sure Ukraine behaves the way Russia likes. Just as the US did in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.

Raw power does not need reasons. It's nice to be "right" but it's not absolutely necessary when you carry a big stick.

Raw power does not need reasons

Absolutely agree!

And that's what most people say who don't believe Putin's lies about "NATO" or "liberation" or "de-nazification". It's about raw power and Putin having the power to force Ukrainians to change their ways.

...but I would also add: "now"! Putin has this power now...that will change. When and how I don't know though....

Novichok
6 Jul 2022  #6499

Putin's lies about "NATO" or "liberation" or "de-nazification".

Not necessarily. To claim that someone lies you need to be in his head. Putin's claims about "NATO" or "liberation" or "de-nazification" may actually be on his list where items don't need to be in the either-or category.

Wars rarely are single-purpose events. Germany may have attacked the USSR for a number of reasons that were not mutually exclusive.

In this context, all that girlie talk here about dead babies, AI, and human rights is so laughable.

What happened to all those sanctions that Biden said would cripple Putans economy??????

The Ruble has never been better!

Another epic failure from the Democrats and NATO.

Bratwurst Boy
6 Jul 2022  #6501

Well....at least in the case of NATO it was a lie....and he achieved the absolute contrary, NATO comes out bigger and more powerful than ever before! And now an encirclement and later Ukraine in NATO has become a real possibility.

Okay....I'm not in Putin's head, maybe that was his plan all along....but I have to leave it here for now, good night! :)

Novichok
6 Jul 2022  #6502

What happened to all those sanctions that Biden said would cripple Putans economy??????

Sanctions are in the same category as masks and lockdowns: we have to do "something". Thinking things through is absolutely unacceptable. Questioning the authority even more. Hence, banning Russians from sports events.

cms neuf
6 Jul 2022  #6503

No they are not - because after 3 months we already know the effects of sanctions. For instance sales of Lexus in Russia have gone down 95 percent. Most importantly the tax revenues of the Russian state are down 40 percent.

The rubel is not a freely traded currency Joker - its true value is much weaker

Scientists will still be arguing about masks and lockdowns in 100 years time.

Russia is now throwing all reserve forces into the battle. They are conscripting Ukraine men from within occupied zones and forcing them to the front. Russia is in a desperation mode now as far as men and equipment go. With more missile systems arriving in Ukraine this week and next, the battle for Donetsk is going to be much different than previous battles.

The Ruble is not even worth one sheet of Charmin 2 ply toilet paper on an open market. That is actually the real math. Russian economy is F'd for a long time now, and all those frozen assets are about to be given for Ukraine reconstruction projects at the end of the war. Imagine how happy the oligarchs are with their boy Putin now! LMAO Happy gulag biatches!

Russia is in a desperation mode

Two data points for the professionalism and dedication of the russian army....

some officers are contacting the families of soliders promising to transfer them away from dangerous areas if the family pays them, then the family pays them and then.... (you can guess)

I can't find the link, it was a transcribed intercepted phone call, the mother can't understand why her son is still in a dangerous place after the office 'took so much (money)'...

some russian officers are apparently selling the positions of their troops to Ukraine...

thedailybeast.com/russians-fear-commanders-are-selling-their-own-troops-locations-for-cash

fraud and theft seem to be woven into every aspect of russian society... no wonder Ukrainians want to have nothing to do with russia....

I'd be usually rather suspicious when I hear such accusations, but the performance and conduct of the Russian army make those very believable.

Yes, Russian commanders sell positions of their troops to Ukrainians; also, one half of their troops are deserters, second half are alcoholics, and the third half are always assigned to gather all the washing mashines in the area. These are undeniable facts established by the fiercest brains of British and American intelligence. Brilliant.

There remains, however, one interesting question: how do these deserters, alcoholics and home appliances thieves, manage to keep the more numerous heroic Ukrainian army on the defensive? It would be rather useful to answer this question, especially that all signs in the heaven and on the earth seem to indicate that we will have to, sooner or later, meet them on the battlefield.

Spotters&arty

Infantry's main task is to hold a position, other groups are created as to break enemies infantry so that one's own infantry can take it's place.

Don't need tanks guarding a building (that would make it an easy (and costly) target.

As long as the infantry move where they should, it doesn't bother the Russian armed forces or political structure

Tacitus
6 Jul 2022  #6509

More and better equipment. Your army might comprise of thieves, rapists and murderers, but if you have air superiority and outnumber the enemies in range and in numbers 10:1, then you are going to see some results. Russia would not be able to count on either in a battle with NATO.

Russia has thrown everything it has in the battle for Donetzk and Luhansk. Lets' see of they can actually sustain their advances in the next 2-3 months.

It would be rather useful to answer this question

Two parts..

more ammo - I've seen estimates that vary but Russia is shooting about 10 x more shells than Ukraine

missing supplies - lots of countries have made promises to Ukraine but not much has actually showed up, supporting Ukraine militarily is Biden's version of Trump's wall - he talks a lot about it but not much gets done....

My fear at the beginning was the US would make sure that Ukraine got enough supplies to keep the conflict going but not enough to win....
