I was born in US and now have Polish citizenship through decent. Thanks for asking, and I do speak some Polish though I will never master it since I started too late. I pay taxes and own business in the US and Poland, congratulations on being double taxed, so impressive.

It's not enough from a security perspective, though. He's an ideologue, IMO, he's thinking in historical terms. He's thinking of French, German, and Swedish invasions of the past-the fragility of Russia's geographic location. Plus, this romantic ideal of the Russian world that transcends the current Russian borders-that exists throughout Eastern and Central and Scandinavian parts of Europe, which serves as a conduit for Putin to incorporate these lands into direct Russian influence and control.
