Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 2

Russiky Mir

Russian version of Lebensraum, only with Russians as Herrenvolk. Arguably less genocidal but equally repulsive in its core. I feel kinda sorry for Bobko and Velund -- their task is impossible: defending the indefensible.

President Zelensky, the gay **** actor turned crisis actor in chief who cheerleads for World War 3, is backpedaling after a recent surrender by his neo-Nazi forces, the Azov battalion.

After previously stating that no compromise was possible, Zelenskyy is now saying that only diplomacy can bring the war to a close, understanding that all the globalist welfare in the world cannot keep his fledgling puppet regime intact much longer.

U-tube has deleted over 70,000 Ukraine war videos.

@GefreiterKania

I'd say significantly less genocidal.

Whether true or not, I don't know, but I read some from the western commentariat (not wingnuts) who claim the original plan was for little to no collateral damage to Ukrainian towns and citizenry. If true, that obviously has been abandoned.

I'm not so sure this is the work of nazis or mongrols. More of paranoid reactionaries-dangerous in their own right, as we see.

On a slightly lighter note: Czech ice hockey fans decided to show their support for Ukraine during World Championships in Finland...

1

...the organisers told them to take down the Ukrainian flag because flags of nonparticipating nations are not allowed during games. So, they did that...

2

Czechs were always a creative nation. :)

Bobko "we're not animals".

Many Russians are warm hearted and cultured but your troops are behaving like animals and they are egged on by your leaders and even by your church

What are you "fed up" with - if I were you I would be angry about ex KGB men looting the country to build yachts with gold toilets

Novichok
23 May 2022  #2798

reports of 600 ukra soldiers surrendered... i mean evacuated to rus captivity

I see you noticed that aversion to the word "surrender", too.
OK, children, if you raise your hands, you surrender but only if you are a Russian. If you are a Ukrainian, you "evacuate". Got it?

It's on Interia now as well...

BS. What one woman said to another woman is not evidence. BTW, did you know that women lie from the moment they get up?
Also, do you remember those "babies being thrown out of incubators" in Kuwait, the lying bit*ch at the UN, and her tears?

AntV
23 May 2022  #2799

American accent anyway, if that's any consolation. :)

That works! :)

@Novichok

Women also sprinkle in truth between their lies, as men sprinkle lies in-between their truths. Atrocities are going on in Ukraine, regardless of what a lying hag said about Kuwait in the '90's.

Come down and spend the summer with me, Novi, and we'll work on your analogies. A veritable analogy boot camp. :)

Many Russians are warm hearted and cultured

Sure. One of my best online pals, long time ago, was a Russian. Certain Yuri from Klin (Moskovskaya oblast'); we lost touch, as it happens with online friendships, but he was a really sound fellow. I hope he's not a T62 reservist or anything :-/

Why can't Russia's 'elites' abandon those idiotic delusions of grandeur and lead their country on a normal path of peace and well-being? Greeks once had an empire, so did Turks, Persians, Mongols or Austrians - but they all accepted that it's history now. Why can't Russia do the same? :-/

What one woman said to another woman is not evidence.

That woman is Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights - sounds like a credible office to me. Also, there is a significant number of those reports and even if a fraction of them is true, then it's truly horrible. And some cases are difficult to disregard as false, when Russian soldiers post videos of their "feats" online or brag about raping in phone conversations with their wives.

If these numerous reports all turned out to be false/propaganda, I would be absolutely delighted, but what are the chances? There's just too many of them.

we just want respect

For what? Letting oligarchs rob you blind? Your lack of basic civil freedoms? Invading other countries that don't want to be part of the Russkij Mir?

Learn to tolerate other countries existing and we'll talk.

Wow, so you're a Putin's shill now too? That was a quick and disgusting change... So quick that it's almost hilarious. 🙄

Yup.

Fed up about what?

Fed up with the double standard. If Poles are poets, than Russians are... I'm searching for correct analogy re: people fanatical about truth, sorry nothing comes to mind. Every Russian lie, at least in our minds, is predicated on the justification that it is in response and in proportion to some former Western slight done at a time of our weakness. I read an article in the FT today by Gideon Rachman, where he says that Russia risks losing in the battle of lies vs hypocrisy. Basically, that if Russia is the Empire of Lies - as some pundits have called it - and the West is the Empire of Hypocrisy, as Russia claims: then Russia will ultimately lose because hypocrisy > lies. The specific mechanism is that hypocrisy is better, because you can then award a Pulitzer Prize to a NYTimes journalist for investigating your very own crimes and thank them and promise to do better (as the Pentagon did when the Times exposed the myriad civilian casualties from drone strikes).

Russians are fed up that what is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the bull. If America makes an epochal mistake of wrecking a country and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians it is not sanctioned by the entire world in response. Somehow, the miracle of democracy and free press means all sins are washed away through some collective penance that usually lasts mere weeks. If Israeli soldiers kill a journalist in Palestinian while she is reporting with a direct headshot (last week), then the journalist "dies". If it's a Western journalist in Ukraine reporting amid artillery strikes then he is "murdered" by Russians.

The examples brought up by Kania are not relevant. Russia is not Persia, Mongolia, Britain, or whoever else had an imperial past. Our country spans 1/8th of the earth (down from 1/6), and we have 150 million (down from 300 in 1991). Barely a decolonized Empire a-lá Britain or Belgium. We're used to being treated as equals, and we don't like it when America tries to put us in a pen.

Senate approves $40 Billion arms package for Ukraine, rejects $48 billion for Americans.

Ah, so that's why you're taking it out on Zelensky! God, you're so childish, johnny_reb... If you have a problem with the US helping Ukraine then take it out on your president (Biden). Taking it out on a president (Zelensky) who's leading his country during a foreign invasion, instead of fleeing abroad is simply unfair.

If America makes an epochal mistake of wrecking a country and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians

...then Russia wants to do the same uninterrupted. Yeah, we got it already.

jon357
23 May 2022  #2805

Our country spans 1/8th of the earth

Isn't that more than enough for anyone?

One of my best online pals, long time ago, was a Russian

I knew one years ago. Pre-online, just after 1990. He grew up in the House on the Embankment and last thing I heard he'd become very rich.

Learn to tolerate other countries existing and we'll talk.

They've not just got one country, they've got a federation. Isn't that enough for them?

Anyway, despite a hard week, they're still losing the war.

Russians are... I'm searching for correct analogy re: people fanatical about truth,

You can't even disagree publicly with the government without being arrested!

You can't even says 'two words' without being arrested!

twitter.com/AnonOpsSE/status/1503065536720211970

In what universe is that being 'fanatical about truth' ????

Every Russian lie, at least in our minds, is predicated ... some former Western slight done at a time of our weakness

Narcissistic wounds... in other words.

At first I didn't believe a (Russian speaking) Ukrainian who said that Russians harbor a massive collective narcissistic wound (fury at the world for not recognizing Russian 'superiority'). They also said Russians in western countries almost all go around in a state of seething hatred for the countries they live in (including Canada and the US).

Everything you write just supports that.

AntV

The problem with that $40 Billion in arms is that $1 out of every $3 isn't being spent on military, but being out into a pot to fund the Uke government-a gov mot exactly known for its sterling ethics. Ukraine corruption didn't scatter away when Russian tanks entered.

Besides, Zelensky's finger-wagging is bullshit. He deserves praise for his determination and all, but he is 't the moral beacon of the world. He's worthy of respect, but not total trust and world leadership through lecturing us.

Besides

That's what the russists want. Doubt, reluctance apathy or antipathy. Questioning the money is straight out of their playbook. Who scrutinises budgets at other times?

They also said Russians in western countries almost all go around in a state of seething hatred for the countries they live in

Ukrainians too, to a much lesser extent. russians however seek to actively undermine them. They see that the own country (or countries since they have a fúcking federation of subject states as a buffer round russia proper) is so crap in comparison to almost anywhere else.

They're only really happy in plans like Mali or Central African Republic which are even crapper.

I've read a comment that corruption in Ukraine is much smaller than 10 or 15 years ago, not to mention the 90's.

Btw, in every link I've checked so far Russia was more corrupted than Ukraine.

He's worthy of respect, but not total trust and world leadership through lecturing us.

I don't think it's about lecturing. He's simply fighting for his country the way he can - on the diplomatic level.

@Bobko

OK, so you have 1/8th of earth's land (a huge part of which is ice and snow). Sure, we all have maps at home, we know that. But you also have GDP lower than Italy, GDP per capita lower than Panama and population lower than Bangladesh.

So, maybe (just maybe) it would be a good time to apply some good ointment for the butthurt, get a grip of yourselves and get real?

*sighs*

Russians don't know how to do or even understand the word "liberation".
It is an alien concept for Russians.

Worth doing a search instead.

I'd be very careful clicking on links, especially since that video with the baby. People who watched only a couple of seconds say they can't unsee it.
