Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 3

PolAmKrakow

75,000 Russians killed or wounded in Ukraine now according to CIA. That is half of their whole 150K invasion and support force. And now the counteroffensive begins and they are not going to have enough to withstand the weapons or men that Ukraine is bringing. Russia is a dead man walking.

Seems really to become a very successfull day for Ukraine....

"49. Army appears very vulnerable"

Russia is apparently threatened with a serious setback on the southern front

tagesspiegel.de/politik/49-armee-erscheint-sehr-verwundbar-russland-droht-offenbar-schwerer-rueckschlag-an-der-sued-front/28555468.html

The Ukrainian counter-offensive on the southern front is gaining momentum. The British secret service sees the Russian troops under pressure.

According to this, the Ukrainian counter-offensive on the occupied city of Cherson could cut off Russian troops from the bulk of the army.

The Ukrainian troops have very likely set up a bridgehead south of the Inhulets River, which forms the northern border of Kherson, the Ministry of Defense in London said on Twitter on Thursday, citing the secret service. Russia's 49th Army is on the west bank of the Dnieper and now appears very vulnerable. Cherson is practically cut off from the other occupied territories.

"What we are seeing at the moment are local attacks by the Ukrainian army on individual Russian units or tactical targets," said the military expert at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in a phone call to the Tagesspiegel. But: "For Ukraine, the battle for Cherson could become a turning point in the war against Russia." ...

@Bratwurst Boy, exactly, I was thinking the same... This war would be over sooner if Ukraine was getting more stuff... Ffs...It's so frustrating and simply stupid.

75,000 Russians killed or wounded in Ukraine now according to CIA.

Roughly half of the Russian troops initially sent to invade Ukraine are estimated to have been killed or wounded, indicating that the ongoing conflict has caused a sizable toll on Russia.

Quote:
New U.S. intelligence numbers puts the casualty number for Russian troops during the invasion of Ukraine at 75,000.
U.S. intelligence stated that over 75,000 Russian soldiers have been either killed or wounded since Russia began its invasion on February 24.

Interesting tidbit about that:

Putin Can't Fix This: The Russian Military Is Running Out of Soldiers in Ukraine

19fortyfive.com/2022/07/putin-cant-fix-this-the-russian-military-is-running-out-of-soldiers-in-ukraine/

...Russian casualties continue to pile up. At this rate, the Russian military is expected to have lost more than 50,000 troops killed and up to 150,000 wounded in action by the end of the summer. Taking into consideration that the Russian pre-invasion force was approximately 200,000, of which not all were frontline troops, it is evident that without some sort of partial or full mobilization, the Russian military would simply not have enough men to fight in Ukraine. ...

I wonder how Putin will sell his underlings that coming mobilization...if he still forbids to call it a war.....

@Bratwurst Boy
If they take back Kherson, it is all but over for Putin at home. Crimea will be cut off again and becomes a legitimate target. All those dead Russians have parents who are not going to continue to support this when more than 100K do not come home. This is a massacre.

Pole in Radom cannot travel to Ukraine and start killing people who were never a threat to him

If the defending country gives him permission and put him into their army. UN says defenders can do anything they like on their territory.

UN says defenders can do anything they like on their territory.

....and Donbas defenders can after a quick trial.execute any foreinger who crossed their border with a gun and fired said gun with intent to murder citizens of Donbas

According to Donbas laws, killing or conspiring to kill Donbassians is a war crime and capital offense. Simple.
How such trials are done, youtube Ceausescu. 45 minutes from start to execution. No appeals.

....and Donbas defenders

Donbas was invaded by russia in 2014... so the Ukrainian government is the defender there (and Crimea) too....

28 Jul 2022  #493

Where is "russia"?
And what does your post have to do with executing foreigners with guns who came to kill Donbas citizens?
Here is your problem...If Donbas is not a country then Donbas has no army - only civilians with guns. Only a regular army can take the enemy soldiers as POWs. Civilians can just kill them on sight - just the way Polish civilians were killing German soldiers and nobody tried to charge them with war crimes.

If Donbas is not a country

Donbas is part of Ukraine, not an independent country. It was invaded by russia in 2014 so anyone affiliated with the mafia warlords in charge of the place are invaders and anything Ukraine does to repel them is in defense of its territorial integrity (I know you'll have problem with that last word... look it up)

And by the way... thanks for at least using the correct Ukrainian name "Donbas" and not the russian monstrosity "Donbass"....

Novichok
28 Jul 2022  #495

Donbas is part of Ukraine,

Therefore, executing foreign killers is not a war crime. It's an act not different from Polish civilians killing drunk German soldiers.

Why are there so many dead Russian soldiers? Anymore stupid questions?

Stupid Russians attacking Kiev long distance with missiles as they are getting killed all day long in Kherson. Russian soldiers turned into hamburger while their superiors order bombings hundred of miles away. Absolutely retarded strategy. Another proof of the collective stupidity in Russia.

Russian soldiers turned into hamburgers

Are they served medium or medium rare?
A sick question in response to a sick post. I wish you would stop your food analogies. I can come back with worse about Katyn.

@Novichok
They are served well done. Flame broiled literally. If its offensive maybe consider how offensive your statements may be. I wrote "hamburger" not "hamburgers". The difference being one is just a meat, the other is a cooked meat and finished product. Clearly not all Russian soldiers are a finished product, most are left on the field quite raw. This is the Russian way.

Meanwhile, Russians killed more civilians today, while Ukraine killed more Orc's. It is going to be a sad day for Russia when Kherson is back under Ukraine control.

it is evident that without some sort of partial or full mobilization

That is quite a good idea. So far, mostly ethnic minorities from RuSSia die in Ukraine. When all males are rounded up for service, mothers, wives and girlfriends of ethnic Russians will get death letters from the army en masse. In result, the Russian public opinion about the war may change coz now it is mostly neutral or supportive.

Back on topic.

Yes. Now, when Ukrainians heroically fight for independence, all decent freedom loving people in the world should consider themselves Ukrainian.

A great point.
But are ordinary Russians brave enough to rise up against the war?

They don't think about it at all.

They can boycotte the drafting. That will be the first stone after which an avalanche of national unrest may start. Putler will have two choices - either topple it by bloody repressions or give up his militaristic plans.

But are ordinary Russians brave enough to rise up against the war?

Sure. As brave as the Yanks and the Brits rising against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. How long did it take them to hit the streets? Oh, never...I see...

Only the Russians are obligated ...

@johnny reb
Now you will get Crnogorac3 all excited thinking it is some gay video. I am sure he is searching for it right now.

Meanwhile, Ukraine making more and more advances on Kherson. A few more villages taken back yesterday, and a whole lot more dead Orc's laying in holes and trenches. I wonder just how quickly those A-10's will make it to Ukraine. I have a suspicion that Ukraine will suddenly get those planes before the end of August. Maybe they will just disappear from US warehouse's and appear in Ukraine.
