Quite a nice piece of change if you ask me. To think that in the future, a German chancellor will annually be invited to celebrate the defeat of another country instead of his own.

The invasion of Ukraine is a tragedy and crime and should never have happened. Though I suppose one small positive change is that now another country will fill the role of the villain in the historical memory of the next two generations in Europe.

Though I suppose if Russians were unhappy about not supposedly receiving proper credit for the defeat of Nazi Germany in cultural depictions, (something Putin is reportedly bitter about) they'll have to endure much worse in the future.

...if NATO was not arming Ukraine since 2014, observed Minsk Agreements, and told Z to treat the Russian-speaking population at least as well as the NATO countries treat their illegal aliens.

They treated them well enough that one became president and most of the others violently reaisted when Russia invaded.

Not that any of this was the reason for this invasion. The reason behind it was Putin's imperial delusion and the danger a prospering, democratic Ukraine would pose as an alternative to his cleptocratic regime.

The facts are that more Ukraine people are leaving Poland than coming into Poland now. Refugee assistance centers no longer have lines of people and some places are over full with donations and turning new donations away. The guy hosting this video didn't even know where the other idiot was in Ukraine to start the show. Nothing says quality programming like a host who isn't even up to speed on his guest.

Then again, the guest of the show says he was in Western Ukraine while making these observations. Interesting how those observations can be made from outside of the actual cities in Poland that are allegedly being crushed by refugees. Where is the video of long lines at hospitals, or of Poles being turned away? On the next episode of Redacted, an interview with Chester Cheeta and a conversation about cheese snacks being on the decline in Iraq due to sanctions.
