Democracies are highly entropic (unstable) they're different from each other and from themselves over time.

Dictatorships are low-entropic systems, they're pretty much all the same.

When there is a border between a high-entropy and low-entropy systems, the low-entropy system erects an almost impenetrable border (like North and South Korea or the old Iron curtain).

There needs to be a new iron curtain between highly-entropic Ukraine and low-entropy russia

Not everyone should live in a democracy... some are more suited to low-entropy dictatorships. The instability of democracies mean they sometimes go off the rails....

Those who are suited to freedom note what's going on and take steps to counteract it.

Those who are poorly suited to freedom withdraw from democracy and start hating it and start pining for a big powerful daddy to keep the bad people at bay....

Meanwhile, Ukraine still holds the main supply route in Bakhmut. Wouldnt it be funny if the counter offensive just wiped out all the Russians in Bakhmut and kept on going? Though the path south to Crimea looks a little easier with all the Russian retreats taking place. May is shaping up to be one hell of a month. Happy gulag biatches!

So which one is it? Thousands or 94?

Also, what you quoted does not say if those bodies are Uks or Russians. That sentence, btw, does not make sense:

At the rate of at least 2000 a day, it would take only 10 days for the Wagner group to join the real Wagner.

The UOC is an arm of the russian orthodox church which is an arm of the russian government. Why should the Ukrainian government allow an organization calling for its destruction to operate freely?

Official Kiev has been making some strange noises about the upcoming counter-offensive.

The head of their Air Force said that a counter offensive may be "difficult or impossible" without support from the air.

Their minister of defense said that it's "perhaps unfortunate" that the media and their own public statements have created "heightened expectations" around the offensive. But then he said that's not his fault. I thought - how is it not your fault?

The deputy foreign minister (same guy that was ambassador to Germany and said Bandera is a great guy), stated that Ukraine needs "TEN TIMES" the amount of weapons it has received to date, if Ukraine is to be expected to finish the war this year. I think even Poland, which is Robin to Ukraine's Batman, can not stomach a level of aid to Ukraine that is 10X of current levels.

Question on Bobko's mind is - what gives? Are the Ukrainians trying to manipulate me into a false sense of comfort, right before they unleash shock and awe? Maybe, maybe... On the other hand, I think, maybe these gentlemen that were former comedians are running out of room for successful improvisation, and real life, like a 30 ton truck, is barreling down at them at full speed.

They have been complaining to Czechs that they have way too little ammunition to start the offensive. It can, of course, be a smoke screen, Ukrainian version of maskirovka etc. but something tells my that we will sooner see pigs flying than Ukrainians conducting a large-scale counter-offensive in coming weeks. I wrote something to that effect a couple of weeks ago already.

If Zelensky doesn't want to counter-attack, he should be compelled to sign a peace treaty. This WW1-style trenches stalemate is way too expensive to allow it to continue for too long. Apparently for Zelensky C, D and L are not worth the lives of too many Ukrainian soldiers, so be it...

Ukraine started killing Russians in D and L in 2014. All 14,000 of them. Not a nice way to treat freedom fighters.
