Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 5

Novichok

Quoting RT:

Poland sees rise in food theft
High prices are behind increased shoplifting in grocery stores, newspaper Rzeczpospolita reports

The Polish economy slowed in 2022 amid soaring inflation and a plunge in consumer spending brought on by the conflict in neighboring Ukraine and the impact of sanctions on Russia. Official statistics show that inflation accelerated in the beginning of 2023, with consumer prices jumping 17.2% in January from a year ago. Economists are forecasting that inflation will continue to rise, with Poland projected to have one of the EU's highest rates this year.

I recall reading here that refugees are a great asset and Poland is lucky to have them. The more, the better...

BTW, for the benefit of fiscal morons...Inflation = government "printing" more money than the economy can swallow.

If their tanks are even half as crap

To be fair, their tanks are quite high-tech. Their turrets can even serve as rockets.

Russian tanks are also commonly known as "Easy Bake Ovens".

high-tech.

Unfortunately they forgot that being low-built is great on a sports car but not so good on a tank that's trying to invade a marsh during the thaw.

The US invaded Syria to replace the Syrian government it didn't like and to fight ISIS. Distance to Syria = 5000 miles.
Russia invaded Ukraine to replace the Ukrainian government it didn't like and to fight the nazis. Distance to Ukraine = 0 miles.

The subject of Russian cars is relevant because the same long dead engineers worked on the POS tanks and armored cars that hungover Russian peasant soldiers are now digging out of the mud. A perfect symbol of your joke army

because the same long dead engineers worked on the POS tanks and armored cars

1. You don't know that.
2. The specs for cars and tanks are different.

A perfect symbol of your joke army

Joke armies:

1. French
2. German
3. British
4. Danish
5. Austrian
6. Italian
7. Spanish
8. Portuguese

NATO is a joke - a bad one, too - with a member and a half worth mentioning.

Even the US army is totally unfit to wage a protracted, artillery-based land war, the kind the USSR won against 200 German divisions. For comparison, the West had to deal with 20.

If you watched what I watch, you would know that the Wagner chief actually complimented the Ukrainian army on many occasions.

And of course so much of the money that was meant to be spent on maintaining their equipment just went into the pockets of drunken 'officers'.

How much money went into the pockets of drunken "officers"?

How much money went into the pockets of drunken "officers"?

And of course so much of the money ... went into the pockets of drunken 'officers'.

God forbid I would ask the author, you, to replace the meaningless "so much" with a number.

So, how about it, Mr. Pointful? Either you know the number or you don't. If you don't, it's OK. We are used to anti-Russia bullsh*it.

It's a wonder that anyone still bothers to post at all, when every time a post with actual content appears, a pointlessly negative one appears immediately afterwards, always from the same poster.

He doesn't have to stick his oar in to every subject and it's no coincidence that so few posters are left.

Meanwhile, the biggest war since WWII is raging in the next country to Poland, some of us here have relatives, in-laws etc on the front line right now and the war of course could yet spill over into PL.

But hey, some troll doesn't want discussion about it.

Hey, Bobko, Velund and Crnogorac. A few months ago you promised Europe would be frozen when Russians cut off their gas supplies. It is mid March and nothing like that has happened so far.

I am still waiting. How long am I going to???

jon357

It is mid March and nothing like that has happened so far.

Not at all. Nothing. Zilch. Yet they said it would. Poland is chilly now and back home our underfloor heating is on and the apartment is toasty warm. It's the same everywhere the r*SSians tried to threaten. Empty threats.

Mr. Noclue?

Learn some manners.

That was a Polish metaphor. They meant: energy prices will be higher.

know more than those who do?

Who knows what more?

Those damn facts...So annoying...

Quoting RT:

Energy bills are soaring in Europe. This is what countries are doing to help you pay them

There's no sign of the energy crisis improving, as Russia said in September it would not fully resume its gas supplies to Europe until the West lifts the sanctions it imposed on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.

Belgian prime minister Alexander De Croo has warned Europe could face up to 10 difficult winters as a result of the standoff.

Poland has announced tax cuts on energy, petrol, and basic food items, as well as cash handouts for households. It has also extended regulated gas prices for households and institutions like schools and hospitals until 2027.

The government in July agreed on a one-off payment of 3,000 zlotys (€633) to households to help cover the rising cost of coal. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said the total cost of curbing energy prices in Poland will reach around 50 billion zlotys (€10.5 billion).

Here is a big problem...Polish gov giveth and taketh away by means of printing and inflating. hahahahahahahahaha...

I like that "curbing energy prices" by hiding the real cost from the voters. What a brilliant move...

Predictably, "RT" freaks you, guys, out...

You do know that RT reports news and quotes verbatim with sources, don't you?, with zero emotions and bias - unlike that piece of garbage, the Sun, for example.

Inflation = government "printing" more money than the economy can swallow.

inflation doesn't always mean what you stated - sometimes it is caused by price hikes of vital external resources the economy uses (in case of Poland oil and gas) - there is (was?) some prinitng of money, yes - it was dictated by government's support programmes to industry in the times of COVID

How about the legendary AK-47?

their AK-47 was based (but not strictly copied - but I may be wrong) on the German Sturmgewehr 44 - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StG_44

Did German scientists design their fighter planes - the world's fastest

the fastest plane ever built was built by Americans - and if you think of MiG25 it was a useless piece of crap with a life of engines at 100 hours

More and more reports coming of mobik mutinies in Donbas. Still not enough to assess the scale of rebellious behaviours, but each company that refuses to obey orders due to suffering heavy casualties in idiotic assaults warms my heart!

Still not enough to assess the scale of rebellious behaviours

It is taking them a lot of time to rebel decisively. We have time, though. During WW1 it took them nearly 3 years to start a revolution which swiped the Tsar regime away.

More and more reports coming of mobik mutinies in Donbas

They have special squads to go round looking for mobiks who've locked themselves in cellars or are trying to make their way out of the battlefield.

each company that refuses to obey orders due to suffering heavy casualties in idiotic assaults warms my heart!

Indeed. And this situation will only become more rather than less.

So you lied again. What else is new? That's why I pay no attention to the contents of your 'quotes' or look them up. I don't believe liars or put any credence in anything a proven liar (comme toi) writes.

Meanwhile, here's a russian (economist) who left russia because he couldn't stand the turn the country took talking about the economy

youtube.com/watch?v=fcjhu83VZG0

Among other things there is a record number of mortgage defaults, record low amounts of foreign currency in banks... other stuff.

Oh yeah, the russian government has not released data on capital outflow for 2022 (usually released in January for the previous year).

hmmmmmmm

They don't.

Get real Rich, it's the same in the USA and to a lesser degree in the UK too.

Novichok
12 Mar 2023  #1618

They report what the Kremlin wants them to say.

The US media is as controlled as ever. I can tell by the identical terms and phrases they use in sync. You can see it very often on CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, and NBC.

Then I read RT. Objective and emotionless. No comparison.

For example, RT never called Z anything other than as president of Ukraine. No adjectives, no insults, no "tyrant". Ever.

My advantage is that I actually read both sides.

From the way RT refers to Ukraine and Russia, you would never be able to tell that RT is funded by Russia and biased in any way. Story selection is another matter and it's hard to know what was suppressed.

Novichok

Yes, I did to show you that you, Russia haters are morons that are unable to read and form na opinion without being assured that the info comes from an approved source.

When RT quotes what somebody said, what difference does it make that it is RT as opposed to the BBC? Is the BBC trustworthy, BTW?
